Syazline is a degreed chemical engineer with engineering experience working in the oil, gas
and petrochemical industry. This experience includes pressure relief system analysis,

• Pressure Relief Device (PRD) Management Guidelines for

Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
o Technical scribe during PRD Management Guidelines
workshop.
o Involved in the reviewing and finalizing of the final
documentation which include standard set of guidelines for
the management of pressure relief devices (PRDs) and
associated equipment in Carigali production facilities.
These guidelines reflect the practices of the Company as
stated in the Production Operations Philosophy document
and the Process Safety Management System Manual.

• Area Development Plan (ADP) – Peninsular Gas Fields

Development Project for Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
o Inventories reference of new technologies available in the
market on electrical equipment for consideration during the
concept screening phase of this project.
o The purpose of the Conceptual Engineering Study is to
establish the most optimum and cost effective
development scenario on the 14 gas fields. Thus
developing database on applicable new technologies are
an essential requirement. For this reason, qualitative
assess of new technologies specifically of electrical
equipment will provide a better option for the 14 gas fields
been considered for development

• Relief valve analysis for ConocoPhillips, USA

o Assigned to unit DSU-1 and CLEU-3 of Bayway Refinery,
Linden.
o Identified overpressure scenarios and performed pressure
safety valve-based analysis of pressure relief systems
including scenario identification, relief load calculations,
and relief device sizing calculations.
o Utilized Aspen, HYSYS to develop the heat and material
balance for units’ scenarios calculation.
o Developed the discussion concern list, which includes
inadequacies, concerns, discrepancies, code violations
and deviations from client design practices.

• Equipment based Relief valve analysis for Petronas Penapisan

Melaka (PPM).
o Assigned to unit 67 & 73 and scale up of unit 33 & 39 of
Petronas Penapisan Melaka.

• Was assigned to be the line leader for Zinc Air Pilot line,
responsible for running laboratory test. Main task was to localize
all products and ensuring desired results are achieved with the
substitute’s products.
• As part of the pioneer group in the new company, was vigorously
involved in every aspects of the growth of our Company covering
technical, administration, HR and even IR. Among others was
initiating the safety practices in the Company and was then
appointed as Chairman of safety committee.
• Completed Safety Officer modular course under NIOSH (National
Institute of Occupational Safety and Health in Bangi) and in
waiting to sit for the Safety Officer Certification exam.
• Appointed into Safety, Facility and Process Engineer for the
company. Responsible in safety aspects of the company which
covers 7 different laboratories (including chemicals, material,
gases, laser, engineering, machines etc).
• Overseeing safety practices for Pilot Plant Company in Kota
Kemuning Shah Alam.
• Improved waste management and arranged scheduled waste
collection and treatment for the Company (Registered with Kualiti
Alam).
• Involved in Chemical Health Risk Assessment on chemicals
product used in company.
• Responsible to register with local authorities on all type of
necessary application on safety certification (DOE, DOSH,etc).
• A certified Poison license holder for the company to expedite on
custom procedure on importing chemicals.
