TEP&TEPE 2012 Admission Schedule


The application process is divided into three options as follows: 1. Good academic records 2. Standardized Test Score 3. Written Examination Apart from these three options, students can also apply through the National Admissions System of the Association of University Presidents of Thailand. Application for admission to TEP and TEPE Programmes can be processed through one of the 2.1, 2.2 or 2.3 options.

1. Qualification Applicants must have completed Grade 12 (Mattayom 6) in Sciences-Maths Programme or now study in Grade 12 in Math-Science Programme and are expected to achieve all the requirements for a high school certificate prior to entering the Programmes. For applicants graduating from an international school or abroad, the Certificate of Equivalence or its receipt issued by the Ministry of Education (Thailand) must be submitted to the TEP&TEPE Programmes office before the Thammasat University registration date (at the beginning of June 2012).

***Conditions (Very important) 1. An applicant who passes the interview examination is expected to pay the admission confirmation fee of 24,000 Baht which is non-refundable. 2. In order to cancel the admission confirmation, the applicant must hand in the request form of cancellation to TEP&TEPE Programmes by 29th February 2012 before 4.30 pm. since the Programmes office will send the list of applicants confirmed to study in the Programmes to the Association of University Presidents of Thailand on 1st March 2012 in order to remove their names from the National Admission System. As a result, any request forms handed in after the due date will not be considered. The Programmes will not be responsible for any problems occurring after this.

2.1.1 Details for applying as option 1 Applicants must hand in the high school transcript and the English Standardized Test Score Report that the Programmes require in order to have an interview. No qualifying examination or standard score is required. Applicants must be: Students in the Sciences-Maths programme with five-semester cumulative grade point

average of 3.00 (an educational system of 2 semesters per year). The missing semester of an applicant who participates in exchange student programme in high school will not be counted. OR Students in the Sciences-Maths programme with five-semester cumulative grade point

average of 2.70 to 2.99 with the grade point average of Mathematics and Physics not less 2.70 (an educational system of 2 semesters per year). The missing semester of an applicant who participates in exchange student programme in high school will not be counted. AND - Applicants can submit one of the following English test scores, listed below if the minimum score test is met (see details in 2). TEP&TEPE 4 Remark : *Applicants who pass the admission tests can submit their successful English Standard Test result in order to be exempted from EL 171 and EL 172 courses in academic year 2012 and meet the requirements of the TU degree regulations. 2.2.1 Details for applying as option 3 TEP and TEPE Programmes offer a qualifying examination in English in three subjects: English, Mathematics and Sciences (Physics and Chemistry). However, applicants can submit PAT1, PAT2, O-NET or other Standardized Test Scores to be exempted from the examination in the subjects that their scores meet the Programmes minimum requirements (see details in 2.1.2).

TEP&TEPE 6 2.3 Application process through the National Admissions System Applicants can apply through the National Admissions System. The examination schedule can be obtained from http://www.niets.or.th Notes: 1. Applicants who pass the admission process either option 1,2,3 or the National Admission System, must have an interview with the Programmes. 2. For any problems occurring during the admission process, the decision of the TEP&TEPE committee is considered as the final one.

4. Application steps and application documents 4.1 Application steps 4.1.1 Apply online at www.tep.engr.tu.ac.th or http://58.64.30.184/teptepe/admission 4.1.2 Complete the form. Recheck the information before clicking Submit because after the submission, the information cannot be corrected. 4.1.3 Print the payment form (800 Baht.-) and pay for the application fee at KTB counter service. 4.1.4 The application process will be completed after paying for the application fee and handing in all the application documents on time. 4.1.5 If the applicant needs to change any information from the online process, he/she must reapply and repay the application fee. The previous payment and form of that applicant will be cancelled automatically. However, the reapplication process must be done on time (for each application period). The Programmes will consider the latest submission that has paid the application fee. 4.2 Application Documents: One recent one-inch photograph A photocopy of transcript of academic record from high school attended /or a photocopy of certificate or diploma earned A photocopy of house registration (for Thai citizen) A photocopy of Citizen ID card (or passport for foreign nationals) A certificate of equivalence or its receipt issued by the Ministry of Education Thailand. (Required for applicants graduating from an international school.) A photocopy of the score report of Standardized Test Scores A photocopy of the score report of English Test Scores Note: photocopies must be signed and certified by the applicant.

TEP&TEPE 7 The application documents of 4.2 need to be sent to TEP&TEPE Programmes, P.O. Box 16, Thammasat University (Rangsit Campus) Office, Pathumthani 12121 The application process will be completed after the applicants apply online via www.tep.engr.tu.ac.th, pay the application fee and send all the application documents as mentioned in 4.2 to TEP&TEPE Programmes. Any payment is non-refundable.
