WEEK
Celebrate the Hope that Saves
Today is World Mission Sunday! We are called to this Eucharistic celebration along with Catholics in every parish, chapel and church throughout the world to fulfill the call we first heard at Baptism, the call to be missionaries, to share our faith. On World Mission Sunday, we are invited to celebrate the hope that saves through prayer and participation in the Eucharist, and by giving generously to the collection today for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. Let us pray especially at this Mass for all who long to hear the hope-filled, saving message of Jesus, and for the priests, religious and lay catechists in mission countries worldwide who offer them that Good News.
When asked to name the greatest commandment, Jesus named two! The way I understand how the two are related is I have grown in being able to love God with my whole being in these ways I have grown in loving my neighbor as myself in these from Living Liturgy 2011 ways
very much to all the volunteers at the Fall Festival, and especially to those who led the different groups and masterminded the planning and organization of the event. Our preliminary figures show that we raised somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000. This result, in what are still hard times, is a great tribute to the way you all worked together.

about the Catholic faith? Would you like to become a Catholic? Do you know someone who may be interested?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is a process of conversion and initiation in the Catholic Church as adults (anyone seven years of age or older) journey together in faith and share experiences while discerning Gods call. If interested in participating, please call the office. We will be happy to assist you on your journey.
OFFICE HOURS: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-3:30 pm MARRIAGE PREPARATION: Please contact the Church Office to schedule a meeting with Father Augustine. You need to allow six months for the preparation process and it would help us if you obtain new baptismal certificates before the meeting. We can also help with the convalidation (blessing) of a civil marriage and sometimes with the annulment of a previous marriage, as long as the civil divorce is complete.
DO YOU HAVE A CHILD, SEVEN YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, WHO HAS NOT YET BEEN BAPTIZED CATHOLIC?
Once a child reaches the age of reason (seven), the child is brought into the Church just as an adult isthrough the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Following this process of preparation which lasts about a year, the child is fully initiated into the Church at the Easter Vigil through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion. In order to have a child baptized Catholic, at least one parent must be Catholic. If you are considering having your childage 7 or olderbecome Catholic, or if you have any questions, please contact Sister Marie at the parish office, 407.293.9556 ext. 121.

EVE RUPPS NEW BOOK Many of you will remember Deacon Dick Rupp who served the parish for many years until his death in 2007. He and his wife Eve lived in the heart of College Park for 33 years and often gave shelter to strangers and troubled people in their home. Eve has now written a little book about their experiences with some of their five hundred guests called Gods House. It is available through the usual booksellers such as Amazon or directly from the publisher www.trafford.com (both hard copy and e-book). Thank you, Eve, for recording a little of this great labor of love which set many people back on their feet.
