A EUROPE WITHOUT FRONTIERS I think if we wanted to have a Europe without frontiers, we would have a common language English because

e it is the international language of communication being spoken by many countries all over the world. It is also the language of science , business, culture and advertising. It is used in education and trade. In January, 1948, the British Foreign Secretary, Ernest Bevin believed that it was necessary to justify European integration on grounds stronger than political expediency. Throughtout European history there have been factors making for greater unity and factors making for greater diversity : probably the historian cannot safely do more than set out what those factors have been at different times. Our hopes and aspirations for the future have not necessary connection with the past; and the validity , or otherwise, of the ideal of European integration is neither strenghtened nor weakened by a consideration of past precedents. A historical survey may reveal obstacles which have proved insuperable in the past; it may also reveal notions, tendencies, movements and aspirations which many provide starting points for the realization of a unity which earlier generations havent known. __________________________________________________________________________ Human achievemants in science and technology Less than a hundreed years ago, many of the things we do today, seemed impossible. The 20th century is a century which can be given any name: the century of speed, of electronics, of the laser. Yet all of them have something in common science. So, our century may be called the century of science. Romania has made a great contribution to the progress of science in all fields. Among the most important scientific discoveries of the 20-th century are new medicines and new technologies. Many diseas that people died of fifty years ago are no longer dangerous. A huge explosion is taking place at this time. It is an explosion of knowledge. Two tools have contributed greatly to this knowledge explosion. These tools are the computer and the laser. The computer is one of the most important developments of this century and it has come a long way since it first appeared. They store huge amounts of information and process it in a very short time. They analyse and organize the information and they can provide a computer operator with answers to almost any problem. Like the computer, the laser has also become a vital tool in todays world. Laser beams do important jobs in science, industry and medicine. Laser lights cut, mend, guide, transmit, measure and vaporize. With the help of these tools, scientists are developing new ways to build things, to produce energy, to improve means of travel and communication. Almost too fast to imagine, science is changing our world. ___________________________________________________________________________ The European Union European Unification isnt an artificial work, made only by technocrats; it is the fruit of the political decision which is suported by long intelectual, moral and spiritual traditions. Nowdays, Europe has got an active Parliament , democratic elected, a commision, a Ministers Council which take common decisions for all the citizens and a Justice Court. The contribution, which can bring an organized and functional Europe to the civilization is indispensable for the mention of the peace relations. The Institution of European Union consists of : a).European Council is the name given to the high level meetings of a leader of the Union members. The President of it is a greek Costas Sinitis. b).Ministers Council consist of the ministers of the members countries which are responsable for a certain field. The European Integration The term integration can be understood, in context of the European Union, as a situation of unification between individually sovereign nations into a collective body, sufficient to make that body a workable whole. The whole purpose behind the European Union is to maintain peace between the European countries, and to integrate them. The common currency is Euro. The country currently involved are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom , Greece , Switzerland and Hungary. In the future the European Union hopes to grow and add more countries to the list. Among other countries is Romania, too. We hope to integrate in European Union in 2007. If it happens, we will have many advantages and benefits. One benefit is trade . For Romania the importance of European Community accesion will be primarily political and psychological, marking a return to a Europe from which it has been standing apart for a long period of time. Having a united Europe, which will result in the euro, will benefit information technology, administrative changes, and the information and training of employees. The EURO can be defined as the common monetary system by which the participating members of the European Community will trade. Many see the Euro as a positive development for Europe, the United States and world economy. In conclusion, the European Union is the name of the organization for the countries that have to decide to co-operat on a great number of areas, ranging from a single market economy, foreign policys, same sets of environmental laws, mutual recognation of school diplomas, to exchange of criminal records are among the few. Visits, trips. My ideal holiday is a trip in India. It is a lovely and fascinating country with many tradition and old culture. It often rains here because it has monsoon weather . But it is very hot. I want to visit Agra, the capital. I wish visit Taj Mahal, the building which represents a tomb for an Empress. It was built by her husband to commemorate her. After that I wish have a ride on an elephant , iwant feed some monkeys and eat some tropical fruits. Another place which I want visit is Disneyland,in America. It is a special place for the children and teenagers, too. My favourite capital is London. I havent gone there, yet. But I wish visit the capital of England. I would visit the Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and National Gallery with impressive collection of painting one of the richest in the world. I would visit the British Museum where we could see among others, displays of antiquities from Egypt, Western Asia, Greece and Rome. I want to see the Tower Bridge, too. I think London is really worth seeing. And another places , too.
