Results and Recommendations

As a result of the needs assessment it was determined that the staff needed training in collaboration tools such as bookmarking and report editing, web 2.0 presentation materials, and learn how to create a portal that each staff member could set up and keep up with all of the news and information they personally needed to succeed at their job.

After meeting with the Dakota Analytical Solutions owner it was determined that the professional development will begin with Delicious Social Bookmarking. This unit is in response to the following company mandate: You will create a professional training module for our staff that includes teachings on how to create an organized filing system for company research that is accessible online and is comprehensive for all staff members. The unit will show the employees how to use the tool to organize, catalog, and share online research they have completed for their individual projects.
