-2SIGNATURE LIFE HOTELS LAUNCHES REAL ESTATE PORTFOLIO Taking a traditional hotel model and enhancing shareholder value - fast proving the hallmark of Signature Life Hotels - is once again the driver behind the groups launch of its real estate division this week (12 July). The differentiation of a Signature Life Development is that often property developers will create a development, sell the units and disappear after sales are complete, comments Alan Vels, MD of Signature Life. Signature Life Hotels Development creates a brand promise and remains involved as the hospitality operator after sales are completed. This is very much the model adopted by the larger US Hotel brands which offers investors an additional hospitality stake. Signature Life Hotels won the award for most innovative hospitality operator across Africa and the Indian Ocean in the 2010 World Travel Awards, and is again nominated in this category for 2011. Vels adds that the future of the Signature Life Real Estate portfolio of properties is ensuring enhanced shareholder value through the innovative sales of hotel bedrooms to individual investors. On the Hospitality side each hotels management and staffs express aim is to embrace its location and surroundings, and offers guests genuine service through highly dedicated, personable staff and associates to allow guests to personalize their hotel stay. The Signature Life Group Real Estate division is actively involved in the development of new properties, be they traditional hotel developments or lifestyle developments which are sold on a sectional title, whole ownership, fractional title and timeshare basis. The group creates joint ventures with existing hotels to develop new hotel bedrooms and apartments for existing hospitality products. The Real estate Division provides a new platform for more acquisitions and for enhanced business strategy through brand awareness and cross selling capabilities for hotel development companies.
