Preamble of the Constitution of the Youth Convention of the Left :

The Youth Convention of the Left is a far left, collective, communist party for the youth of the United States of America. The convention is comprised of people of all races, ethnic backgrounds, political views, and sexual orientations. People of all backgrounds - oppressed or not - are welcome, safe, and free from prejudice and bias in the Youth Convention of the Left. Immigrants, American-born, and foreigners may join free of nationality-based discrimination. The academically successful and the academically challenged are all equal within this party. All ethnic groups and races are considered equals. May this convention and party be of the workers of tomorrow, standing resolute against the oppressive capitalism of the United States and working towards the common ideal of a middle class society. The United States of America was founded on the principal that all people are created equal, and that all people - regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation - shall not be discriminated against. Furthermore, all people were to have equal academic, social, and economic opportunities. The capitalist government of today has failed to hold true to these founding principles. The youth of this nation - the future workers and involved citizens in the politics of the United States - know first hand of the oppression put upon others due to their differences. However, todays youth may not know of the capitalist oppression caused by the overtaxing of low and middle class citizens; they may not be aware of the special treatment of rich, multinational corporations. The Youth Convention of the Left will educate todays youth - the workers of the future - about the dangers and pitfalls of capitalist economic systems. Capitalism is harmful to the earth- the planet on which humanity exists. Multinational corporations willingly and knowingly harm the environment in their attempts to further expand themselves to fulfill their greed. Factories release unhealthy gases and trap unnatural amounts of heat in the atmosphere, thus allowing the greenhouse effect to take a toxic toll on the earths biosphere. Pollution and poor waste disposal is rife. Environmental education of youth is another goal of the Youth Convention of the Left. Education of future workers will lead to a cleaner and more healthy future for generations to come. This convention is solely comprised of youth, for youth. When the original creators of the Youth Convention of the Left reach adulthood, it will be transferred to new youth leaders, and will become a component of the Convention of the Left (which is yet to be created). Although the Youth Convention of the Left will be guided by the adult Convention of the Left, it will continue to be led by the youth, for the youth. As the founders of the Youth Convention of the Left, it is our utmost hope that the Youth Convention of the Left will join fellow communist conventions and parties in the creation of a better America.
