New support for teaching and learning

Dear Colleague This booklet provides an overview of new teaching and learning resources, professional learning programs and materials, student projects and other support developed by Curriculum K12 Directorate in 2009 to assist teachers and their students. For an electronic version of this document, go to <www.curriculumsupport.education.nsw.gov.au/> This version has the advantage of hyperlinks directly to additional information and, where appropriate, to application forms for programs in 2010. Your feedback on these resources would be very much appreciated. The resources shown in this booklet are obviously additional to the substantial statewide support already available to teachers through Curriculum Support and TaLe. The priorities for support in 2010 will continue to be literacy, numeracy, student engagement and retention, Aboriginal education, teacher quality and connected learning, with a particular mind to national curriculum, the new school leaving age and the Digital Education Revolution. Specific suggestions and requests for resources would be most welcome. Your feedback and suggestions can be emailed to <curriculumsupport@det.nsw.edu.au>. With best wishes for the new school year.
