Prover Calibration ServiCeS

Measurement is fundamental to controlling any process or operation. Without confidence in your measurement system you cannot take control. Calibration gives you that confidence.

As someone with responsibility for measurement, you know the importance of all links in the measurement chain. This starts with choosing the correct measurement technology for your application and continues through installation, commissioning, maintenance and finally with calibration. By failing to perform this final step on a regular basis, the output of the prover cannot be confirmed and all your efforts taken with the other parts of the measurement chain have been wasted. In dynamic measurement, the prover loop is the device from which all of your measurements are based, the datum point in effect. If your datum is not correct then no measurement further down the chain will be correct either.

using either of the above methods, this technique provides a viable alternative. SGS have four operational systems, three using compact prover turbine meter technology and the fourth a pipe prover plus positive displacement meter. Flow and pressure capabilities range up to maximums of 2500 litres per minute and 99 barg respectively and compatible liquids including crude oil, and refined products. Traceable calibration and operation in accordance with International Standards are given.

MaSter Meter MetHoD / MaSter Prover tanK:

SGS have two dedicated master meter prover systems, comprising of a volumetric tank (500 or 1000 litres) and a positive displacement master reference meter. The principle components are trailer mounted to enable easy movement around site. As with the water draw method, all equipment is traceable back to the appropriate National Standard and the calibration is performed in accordance with recognised, International Standards.
