Direct to Desktop Users Guide

Introduction
Overview
The Direct to Desktop communications solution utilizes the SnapComms solution for delivering corporate communications directly to the end users desktop in the form of pop-up screens and scrolling ticker communications. While the solution has many different channels for communication, COX Enterprises has selected three (3) specific channels for implementation. These channels are:

Desktop Alert
Communication is conveyed to the desktop with a pop-alert containing a summary of the communication. The user can select to read the alert, which will display a larger dialogue box onscreen, containing the full text of the communication. The communication has the ability to integrate with users Outlook Calendars for scheduling meetings and conferences.

eSurvey
Similar in form to the Desktop Alert, the eSurvey initial communication is in the form of a pop-up window containing a summary and providing the user the options to either take the survey or defer the survey until a later time. If the user opts to read the survey later, the pop-up screen will close and return at predefined intervals until the survey is completed. When the user selects to read the survey, a larger dialogue window appears which contains the survey questionnaire. The user answers the questions, scrolling through the survey if necessary, until all questions are completed. The user completes the survey by clicking on the submit button, which sends the responses to the administrative tool. A final window thanks the user for completing the survey. The user clicks on the close button to close out the survey dialogue screens.

eMag (eMagazine)
The eMagazine communication channel provides a communications tool for getting contributor based information to the end user in the form of an electronic magazine. The end user is alerted to a new publication via a scrolling ticker which appears across the bottom of the desktop screen. Selecting the notification opens the eMagazine for the user to read.

Desktop Alert
The end user is presented with a popup dialogue which summarizes the content of the Alert. The pop-up provides the user the option to either read the alert now, or read it later. If the user selects read later, the dialogue will close and return after a predefined period of time. This will continue until the alert is read. The user selects READ NOW.

A larger dialogue screen appears, providing more detailed information regarding the alert.

After reading, the user closes the dialogue display by clicking on the small white X in the upper right of the window.
