Overview
From Maintain Users: Initial Screen, you can display a list of all user authorization objects,authorizations, and profiles available in your system. You can also display the profiles or authorizations assigned to specific users.

2. To search for specific authorizations, enter an authorization name or character string (for example, s_all or f*) in the authorization field. Leave this field blank to list all authorizations. 3. You can also choose to list either Active or Maintained authorizations by selecting the appropriate Version checkbox. Leave both boxes unselected to list all authorizations. 4. Click the List icon to generate a list of the selected authorizations.

Maintained authorizationsare authorizations which have been defined but not activated. See Creating User Authorizations .

Items of importance on this screen: Object: The name of the SAP authorization object. Notice that one object can be assigned to many profiles. Auth.: The name of the defined authorization. Act.: An X in this column indicates that the authorization is an active version (not a maintenance version). Display values button: Displays a lists of object field values as they are defined in the selected authorization. Where-used list icon: Displays a list of profiles in which the selected object is used.

You can also choose to list either Active or Maintained profiles by selecting the appropriate Version checkbox. Again, leave both boxes un-selected to list all profiles. 4. Click the List icon to display the selected profiles. The selected profiles are displayed in alphabetical order.

Items of importance on this screen: Profile: An alphabetical list of the selected profiles. Act.: An X in this column indicates that the profile is an active version (not a maintenance version). C.P.: An X in this column indicates that the profile is a Composite Profile (a profile made up of several different profiles). Text: A brief description of the profile. Display values button: Displays a complete list of objects, authorizations, and field values for the selected profile. Where-used list icon: Displays a list of users in which the selected profile is used.

2. To display all objects, leave all fields blank and skip to step #6. Otherwise, follow steps 3 through 5 to restrict the search. 3. To search for a specific object, enter an object name or character string (for example, k_sum_cost or f*) in the Auth. object field.

4. In the Text field you can specify a character string for which the system will search. Only objects which have the specified character string in their descriptions will be displayed. 5. Enter a field name or character string in the Field name field to further restrict the search. Only objects which contain the field(s) are displayed in the list. 6. Click the Enter icon to list the selected profiles.
Items of importance on this screen: Object: A list of the selected objects sorted alphabetically according to their object class, listed in the next column. Okl.: The object class. Text: A brief description of the object. Display fields button: Displays a list of fields for the selected object.
