In semester 3, I learned about
the early, high, bright and

England. Finally we discussed briefy
the Gothic of Germany and Belgium.
Other than this we discussed the
architecture of Belgium 1945-1990
characterisedbyarchitectslikeLeon
Stynen, Braem, Gaston Eysselinck,
Fernand and Maxime Brunfaut.
The brutalism of Le Corbusier and
Louis Kahn, the humanism that was
shapedbyAlvarAalto,theinnovative
architecture in the Netherlands.
The concrete expression of Eero

In semester two we got an assignment to take

looked like an old postcard of the 50s. Since
back in the time Ostend was the place to be.
In semester four we had to analyse a building in
termsofplanningconstruction,operationvolume,
Cline and I got assigned to the Vitra Haus
from Hetzorg and the Meuron. This time
we had to go beyond the visual aspects.
After analysis, based on plans to build, we
decomposed the architectural promenade. We
also had to investigate the building of volumes..
