It is both an advantage for

the baby and the mother. For them mother it helps in the uterine contraction, protection from breast cancer, and empowerment. For the baby, is gives passive immunity during the first months of life, increase brain development and it is full of nutrients. There are some factors that can affect the breastfeeding process which eventually can bring bad effects and unsatisfying feeding process for both the baby and the mother. A. verbalize/ demonstrate understanding of the proper breastfeeding 1. Conduct health teaching about proper breastfeeding, breast care and care for the infant 2. Inform the mother about the early infant feeding (e.g rooting, lip smacking and sucking fingers/hands) 3. Encourage the mother to stroke the neonates cheek with fingers or the nipple 1. Help the client understand the proper facilitation of care of the infant and to provide satisfying feeding time for both mother and baby. 2.Promotes timely feeding experience for infant and mother 3.Encourage letdown reflex Encourage the mother to relax during breastfeeding

5. Alternate the breastfeeding from either breast 6. Always clean the nipples and the areola before feeding 4.Encourage letdown reflex 5. Every 15mins for the first 24 hours; but eventually, the best thing to do is to never break the good latch on; the neonate doesnt start to receive fatand-protein rich hind milk after 15 mins 6. To avoid contamination of the milk and have a clean and safe feeding process

7. Wear well-fitting and cotton-strapped supportive bras 1. Encourage maternal support from the husband and other family members 2. Encourage mother to use the bathroom and change the babies diapers before breastfeeding 2. Eat healthy foods and increase caloric intake process
