Radical Muslim land mafia occupy and demolish Christian man’s house

On the night of July 9th, 2007 at 1700hrs some 30 radical Muslim gangsters of land
mafia attacked, destroyed and occupied the house of a poor Christian Safdar Masih at
Fatima Jinnah Colony near Chak # 71 NB Sargodha. Police failed to serve justice to the
victim.

Saleem Masih s/o Safdar Masih told Rays of Development Fact Finding team that this is
Punjab government’s land and he purchased this piece of land some 6 years ago, through
a mediator. Saleem Masih went on saying that
The trouble arouse when he constructed boundary
walls and a room. Safdar Masih father of Saleem
Masih and Sarfraz Masih told ROD that 3 to 4
groups of fanatic Muslims had been pressurizing
them to sell this piece of land to them. On rebuff
of Saleem Masih, some 30 armed gangsters
ransacked into Masih’s house.

wife of Safdar Masih and tore her clothes. Victims Safdar Masih (Father) and Sarfraz
Masih (his son) told ROD that the Deputy Nazim (Deputy Head of the local government)
Mr Muhammad Zahid was also present when Muslim land Mafia
attacked our residence. Sarfraz Masih
informed ROD that the Deputy Nazim
is deliberately backing-up the assailants they
have done all this destruction in the presence
of Deputy Nazim.

When Deputy Nazim was asked about this

issue he replied ROD that this land is actually
owned by Mr. Tahir Chakoor. D/Nazim also
said that Tahir Chakoor has all the necessary Victims Sarfraz Masih & Safdar Masih
Documents proving his ownership. But Sarfraz Masih insisted that the documents
produced by Tahir Chakoor are fake. Papers of these documents are old but the ‘ink’ used
is new, which proves that these are newly made fake, documents, said Sarfraz Masih.

Sarfraz Masih enlighten ROD Fact Finding team that he has moved an application in the
Jhal Chakian Police Station against the muslim assailants but police has not taken any
kind of action against radical muslim land mafia yet. He blamed that police has been
bribed. Replying to an other question Sarfraz Masih said that he can provide evidence in
the court that this is his land.

Matloob Masih a relative of Safdar Masih said that on July 9th, 2007 at 1700hrs he was at
his home when Muslim land mafia attacked Safdar’s house. Matloob Masih told ROD
team that when he arrived at the scene he saw household items scattered every where in
the street. He added that girders and
wooden beams were here and there on the
ground and front door was uprooted. The
entire boundary walls and room had been
demolished. Matloob Masih also said that
the assailants slapped and intimidated him.
They aimed their deadly weapons at him
and commanded to stay away from this
episode.
