Surely children write largely from their own frames of reference & 20:03 films or video games play a huge part in that... #ukedchat @TheHeadsOffice remind them about audience. But I am passionate that grammar must be 21:05 important (and fun) part of English lessons. #ukedchat RT @TinyAcorns: teach children the skill you want them to learn, but let them apply it into whatever content they're interested in 21:06 #ukedchat RT @kennypieper: #ukedchat To be a good writer one must be a good reader. Access to good writing is all...don't think any grammar 21:06 lesson will help without it RT @stormfilled: #ukedchat Find so many students blocked by spelling/punc anxiety. So removed it. New Year 3 Blog, pls visit and let them know there is life out there :) 21:07 http://t.co/iYq0ZxIj #ukedchat RT @MsKateRyan: Students pick a page of their favourite book, study the sentence structures and use them as models in their own 21:08 writing. #ukedchat RT @teacherofy5: get children to read what THEY like [interests] don't force them to read what YOU like #ukedchat RT @MsKateRyan: Show examples of writing that are relevant to them; nothing like a good quality rap verse to get my students inspired #ukedchat @LearningSpy I agree. But I don't like the notion of the previously mentioned discrete grammar lesson #ukedchat RT @stormfilled: #ukedchat Most effective creative writing my classes ever produced was based on a photo.
