COURSE DESCRIPTION The introductory course on philosophy focuses on developing philosophical thinking through reflection and analysis on the nature and problems of human person, society and cosmos. The students are expected to demonstrate philosophical thinking and keep an open mind to recognize and critically asses the important unstated assumptions people make about the world and themselves and other people and life. Course Objectives: The course aims to equip the students with epistemological, logical, ethical and metaphysical theories, and critical analysis on philosophical problems.

Apply the logical and critical thinking skills in assessing the metaphysical concepts of the medieval philosophers. 5. Construct an essay that contains your own philosophy in life. 6. Evaluate the application of the philosophical theories to the society and citizens.
