Sales & Promotion Management Homework III

Objective: To make student understand and feel the real world situation and issues of sales management. Also analyze the sales situation and make plans and strategies accordingly. Execution: Every individual student shall be assigned to sell a product within the university premises. The product has to be sold to anyone within university and through a team leader designated to each member product wise. Each individual would be reporting to his/ her team leader who shall supply them with the product documentation and details. Every individual shall be given a target for one months activity. Anything over and above the target shall result in added scores than the normal. The student shall also prepare a brief write up for the sales plan. The selling should happen in personal selling mode. Sales Plan: It should include proper analysis of the target market. How to target the market? Does it require any segmentation? What strategies did you adopt for personal selling activities? Connect the successful sales techniques and steps with real time activity done by you. Sales reporting: Include volume of sales done on daily basis. A proper reporting chart should be prepared for entry of data for daily activity and sales achieved. A sales reporting format has been mentioned in Annexure I. Marking Scheme: Achieving the target: 7 marks; Sales plan and reporting formats: 3 marks
