RED/STRIPETM
Mud Lightener
RED/STRIPE is a novel water based mud lightener. It has been specifically designed for use in a concept for treating various lossed of fluids in water base drilling fluid systems. RED/STRIPE works well in all types of water base drilling fluids. RED/STRIPE can also be added by mixing 1 gallon of RED/STRIPE to 40-50 gallons of water in a chemical barrel and injecting directly into the pump suction. Total concentration and maintenance treatments should be followed as recommended. RED/STRIPE fluids are designed to create micro-bubbles. However, drilling fluids containing RED/STRIPE exhibit little foaming tendencies when the product is used properly. Density reduction in surface return fluid is directly proportioned to amount being mixed. Very little foaming is usually observed in surface pits unless mixing great amounts. Mud pumps are generally affected as they would normally be with an aerated, low-density fluid.

APPLICATIONS
RED/STRIPE Mud Lightener is a multi-component blend of anionic and non ionic surfactants and consurfactants in an aqueous solution. RED/STRIPE is designed to: Reduced Fluid Density Reduce Water Usage Lower Solids Content Improve Fluid Loss Control Improve Loss Circulation Control Reduce Overall Chemical Usage Reduce Daily Mud Maintenance Cost By 20-25%

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Appearance: SpecificGravity: Red, Liquid 1.09 9.1 Ibs/gal

RECOMMENDATIONS
Initial application should consist of 4 to 6 pails of RED/STRIPE per 1000 barrels of drilling fluid added over a full circulation period. A tourly treatment of 1-2 pails per 1000 barrels added to the system over a full circulation is normally sufficent to maintain desirable mud weight. RED/STRIPE is most effectively applied by pumping into the standpipe under pressure with a small positivedisplacement chemical pump.
