My Community Problem 1180080032 Koshiro Yamada

MY community problem is about the local station named Toyoshiki Station which is one of the Tobu
Noda Line between Kashiwa and Oomiya. The problem is that Toyoshiki Station is non-barrier-free. And we had a construction to solve it which was useless and didnt solve the problem.

Toyoshiki Station used to have just only one ticket gate. But, there are a lot of residents in the
opposite site of the ticket gate. They had to go around the rail crossing which is 500 meter away from the station. It took 10 minutes to go to the station even to me. A lot of residents had been complaining this and claiming that it is not kind to old people who constitute the majority of commuters at Toyoshiki Station. And 6 years ago, the municipal government started work of construction at last.

However, what they made is just an accessway from the opposite side of ticket gate to the side of ticket
gate, which means the people, who go to the opposite platform from the ticket gate and are living opposite side from the ticket gate, have to go up stairs twice. It is true that this accessway is more useful that before, but the problem is it didnt solve the non-barrier-free problem. There are elevators indeed, however, it is not kind to the old people or people who are having the difficulties in going up stairs. The question which everyone who is living there has been thinking and I have thought was why didnt they set the new ticket

gate?

In this opportunity, I asked the Toyoshiki Station officers about this problem. They said that the
reason they built the accessway instead of setting a new ticket gate was that the running cost of a new ticket gate, which include the utilities, the salaries for the officers who stay at the new ticket gate, was expensive. And they also said that the anticipated number of the people who would use the new gate was too less than the necessary number to make the new gate.

I could understand this situation, however, the point I cant get and the people complain the most is
that they didnt explain about this at all. First of all, they didnt say that they would build the accessway, they said that they would renew Toyoshiki Station more useful. People were looking forward to practical useful renew. However, what they got from this construction was only disappointment. Second of all, after the construction, even if it was obvious that almost all residents were disappointed and claimed that they didnt set the new gate, they didnt explain the details such as the reason why they built the accessway instead of setting the new ticket gate. The thing made the situation even worse is that they did not answer clearly to the question from the residents such as why did you not set the new ticket gate?

Gradually, the residents started losing the anger to this and accepting this situation. But I think this is
not only small community problem. This problem is regarding to the wasteful use of tax money. I dont think we can re-change the Toyoshiki Station because they already renewed formally. But I think we can prevent these similar problems by keeping complaining to make the stand of us clear.

Train manners

Train manners are big problem in my town. I often come across the bad manner in the train. However they dont notice that it is against the rule. One day, I took a train, woman used hair iron my neighbor on the right. I was astounded her. It is increasing that people hadnt manner. According to questionnaire, it is conducted research for using train everyday about serious problem train manner. First, people are sitting a floor. I often come across for high school students in the train too. It is troubled that people get off a train. Second people are putting a baggage. Third, people are speaking the loud voice. Unexpectedly the opinion is many among working member of society. As for them, I am always tired for work. So it is important for me to sleep hours. But when some people are speaking the loud voice, the notice disturbs me so much that I cant sleep. It is the most opinion. Forth, Women are changing

clothes. Fifth, People are eating the meal. I experienced that the smell of French fried made me unpleasant. Many people have experienced me as the same. Sixth, people are talking mobile phone. In 2008, it is the worst manner. Instead of new bad manner is more serious problem than mobile manner. Many of action are come across by younger people. They dont mean certainly any harm. However other people felt a hindrance. A woman experienced such a situation. When she took middle of the train, she felt suffocating suddenly. So she was sitting on the spot. But other people cant help her. On the contrary, she was seen such a strange. Almost people are misunderstanding that she was sitting unconsciously. However people take no head of what to say because it is fearful to give head for young people. In fact, there are happened many trouble in the train. To solve these problems, it is important for us to have consideration for other people. It is difficult for us it. In my opinion, I suggested that a solution for freedom car. In Japan, there is a woman only car. The car cant take a train only woman. It is effect that gropers are decreasing in recent years. Freedom car can do what one wants. For example, eating; drinking; make up. If people take this car, it made that people may notice bad manner for you. It is a lot of a bad train manner caused of the problem. In fact, when I take a train at night, Boy and man got in to a quarrel with about step on a man foot. A man is liked drunken. A drunk man is took him out to platform. Finally they got into fight. A station employee stopped in the quarrel but boy looks seriously wounded in the leg. These happening are increasing during enter in Japan. As a result, the station is advertised a public announcement about train manners and patrol men are always going around in the train. I heard that the accident is decreasing in my town. Many people are getting impatient about bad manner in the train. It is the most important for each passenger to be conscious. I want to reflect their manners. Inconvenient Train Station

21th November 2011 Moe Masuda 1180080076 My community problem is about train station. I live in Hanyu city which is placed in north-east area in Saitama. My Station is Minamihanyu of Tobu Isesaki line. The station opened in the second year of Showa era. In 43 year of Showa era, city decided to call the station Minamihanyu after the location which I placed south in Hanyu city. Although the name of the area was Tekobayashi, This is only entrance of minamihanyu
station

Hanyu city didnt name the station Tekobayashi. There is a station Tatebayashi which is four stops away from Minamihanyu station. The name Tatebayashi sounds similar to Tekobayashi and it possible that people take a mistake to hear the name. This is a reason that the city named it Minamihanyu station in stead of naming it Tekobayashi. The station is location 60 kilometer from the central Tokyo. There are many negative points. First, the station has a small number of trains. As you can see the picture of timetable on the left side in the next page, the train comes only 3 times in a hour from 8 am to 5 pm. Also, between this times, the last stop is Kuki station which is four stops more up. It means that I always have to transfer train to go to Tokyo. Second, passenger cant charge a Suica card at my station. This is negative point that I didnt know until I interview my sister. She works for a company in Tokyo and uses both Tobu line and JR line. She said I cant

buy commute ticket of Suica card at my station. So I always have to buy my commute ticket somewhere at JR station before it expires. It is annoying. Also I have to have 2 commute cards, Tobu and JR. If I forget to prolong the commute ticket beforehand, Ill waste money between Minamihanyu station and Kuki station which is the most nearest station including JR line. I want to live in city which has JR line. There are many people who transfer to
JR line at Kuki station to go to Tokyo because Shounan-Shinjuku express train of Utsunomiya line stop at Kuki station. I think that there are

many people who have same problem as my sister. Third, the last train is early. For example, I have to get on the train at 11:00 pm when I go back from Shinjuku. On the weekend, the last train is 15 minutes more earlier. Forth, express train doesnt stop at the station. When I want to use express train of Tobu line, I usually go to the next station by car and get on from there. There are three solutions to solve these problems. First, move to other city is the best way. Second, I should get up early to get on the train on time. Third, I might be able to ask friends to meet up at station which is convenient for me to go and go back when I see my friends. Fouth, people who have commute ticket of Suica card should change to use Pasmo card so that they need to take only one card. Passenger can use Pasmo card and charge at my station. While there are many negative points, there is also a positive point. There are not so many people in the station. People usually can buy the train ticket as soon as they go to the station because there is no queue in front of the ticket machine. I take about 2 hours to go to Toyo University by train. I transfer train 2 times to go to Hakusan station. When I leave Minamihanyu station after 9:00 am, I have to transfer train 3 times. Not always can I get seat on the train. I cant get seat especially when I go back home. I usually doing home work or thinking about sentences for my homework when Im on the train. Moreover I listen to music or sleeping. This year, I changed the way to go to university. I get off the train at Sendagi station which is in Chiyoda line and go to Toyo by walk. This way is a little bit more shorter. Also the commute ticket is more cheaper than using Hakusan station.

My hometown has big park. There are lot of tree and pool. Of cause there are two parks near my house. For the reason bugs are breeding in my home town. We are suffered for bugs that its inflict injury on us. However, bugs have two sides about good point and bad point. There are 4 points about the present state of things, bad point, good point and conclusion. First is the present state of things. Why have bags stepped up in the neighborhood? Because, my house has few park in the neighborhood. There have planted many trees and flowers, and a pond. In addition, in Japan, the four seasons are clearly distinguished and in the spring and the summer are alive with bugs. In the meanwhile, in the autumn and winter Insect does not appear, because, since cold temperatures, bugs hibernate and bugs cannot live there. In addition, the temperature rises because of global warming. Environment has become prone to bugs. For the reason, bugs have been increasing. Second is bad point. Most people hate bugs. I am from Takasaki, Gunma, and I live in Oji, Tokyo now. I had to move to Tokyo to go to Toyo University. I didnt want to move. Because I like my hometown and I didnt want to live away from my family and friends. But I had to do. So, some problems happened to me. Maybe who are living alone sympathize with me. In this essay, I introduced my two problems that dont solve. The reason why I chose this topic is that this topic is the closest topic and I want to know the solution which I dont come up with from some students who is living alone. My biggest problem is unbalanced meal. I dont cook very well, so I dont want to cook and I buy my every meal at supermarket or convenience store. When I lived my parents house, my mother always cooked balanced meal every day to my family. Of course, sometime she made me meal which I dont like. But I know that she made them for my health. So I was very healthy when I lived there. Then when I was a high school student, I used bicycle every day to go to school. I rode about one hour per a day. But now, my life changed. I live near the station, and Honkomagome station, which I used, is near the Toyo University. In addition, I work part time job at Oji, so I seldom do exercise. This life made me change. I got weight 10 kg since I entered Toyo University. My condition is not good. Sometimes I feel dizzy and sluggish. I know I have to change my life, but I cant. I am lazy, so if I think that I change my life, I dont act about that. I have other problem. It is some payment. For example, the telephone bill is charged directly to my bank account every month. But sometimes I cant pay it. Because I earn the cost of my living, so when expense is large, I have to draw a little more money from a bank. This is also about my computer. I couldnt pay, so my computer cant be used now. I am a bad manager. I should do something about it, because job-hunting will start December and I have to use my computer! I asked for the loan of money to my friends previously, but I dont want to it anymore. I want to live my life by myself. Now, I realized that I am inexperienced person. If I dont live alone, I probably dont know that I am immature. I think living alone is very fun. Because I am not under watch of my parents and I am free. Overtime work is normal for every working people. But it sometimes causes problems, and troubles them. Because of excessive work, they get so tired physically and mentally. Jumble Store at Hitachinoushiku in Ibaraki prefecture is a second hand clothing store, buying clothing from customers and selling them. It is needed enough knowledge of clothing and good service to customers. A year ago this store was not so crowded by customers but last year, the neighboring store was closed and the stores customers began to come to the store at Hitachinoushiku. For many of staffs was confused this situation that suddenly many people start to use their store. It was easy for them to keep their store clean and exhibit clothing beautifully before.But now, such basic works are hard for them. For staffs, the hardest work is buying. Customers bring clothing that they want to sell and they want to get money. Before the neighboring store closed, 15~20 selling customers came to the store, even holidays, at most 30. Now the store get 40~50 selling customers a day. It is big deal. If one

customers bring amount of clothing, buying work takes staff so long and makes customers wait so long

too. The store close at 9 pm, but amount of buying prevents staffs from preparing for work for closing. Preparing for clothing normally start at 8 pm, however, often staffs have to do buying work until 9 pm and after that, they start closing works. Night shift staffs normally get out from the store at 9:30 pm, recently 10:30 pm~11:00 pm. The store has 12 staffs, 10 part time workers and 2 full time workers.Half of part time workers are morning sift and the others are night shift. Mainly night shift staffs get trouble from overtime work. The biggest problem of night shift staffs is that most of them are university or technical college student. They are busy for their student life. They have to do a lot of assignments and three of them do job hunting. So it is hard for them to do part time job many days and there are less staffs can attend a day, it is also a cause of overtime work. Moreover, the three staffs are veteran, so if they cannot attend, nobody can buying work because it needs experience. It is fact that the store cannot work well without them but they are students, they must study. They always do overtime work until late at night. However, it is so hard for them to do assignments after that. It is natural that they irritate because their work should be ended by 9:30 pm. Overtime work is driving them crazy. The Jumble Store needs new staffs and growing them immediately. After veteran staffs quite the job, the store will go worse. Now, most of buying work is done by the veteran staffs and the full time workers. But in this situation, newcomers cannot get enough experiences and knowledge. The more they know about clothing, the better the store go. If they grow up they can reduce overtime work and get enough time to keep their store clean and beautiful. The most important thing in the store now is that veteran staffs and full time workers pass their experiences and knowledge to the newcomers.

My hometown is Koto City. It is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. As of 2008, the ward has an estimated population of 442,271 and a density of 11,070 persons per km. The total area is 39.48 km. Kt is located east of the Tokyo metropolitan center, bounded by the Sumidagawa to the west and the Arakawa to the east. Its major districts include Kameido, Kiba, Kiyosumi, Monzen-nakach, Shirakawa, and Toyosu. The newly developed waterfront area of Ariake is in Kt, as is part of Odaiba.

Koto City has many rivers, sea area and green, but what problem is that. Moreover, my living area is -3.5m!! This is unbeliable matter.

If there wasbig earthquake directly in Tokyo, Koto City will have many liquefaction matters. Most house of there will be flooded above the floor. Moreover, if there was big typhoon, the water level of river or sea will go high and soon flood. To add to the surface of the ground is lower than the surface of seawater to there is typhoon or big earthquake. In Koto City, there are210 thousand and 5158 household. Can we live no longer? Should I move away to other place?

4, CONCLUSION
Koto City has some measure for 0m area problem. Most big help is super bank. Thanks to this super bank, we were helped when there was big earthquake. However, there is no guarantee for safety. Now, land subsistence is going bad. Governments should take new measure until big earthquake or typhoon hit Koto City directly.

A lot of areas have these problems, and my hometown, Ichikawa city in Chiba is no exception. What problem is serious in Ichikawa city? Many handbills are stuck on telephone poles. Some handbills are written Looking for my pet. Its stray dogs problem. Residents of Ichikawa can see such as notice. The reasons for lost own pets are clear. Generally, dogs go out through opening in the fence or door, or a dog collar is removed when owner take pets out for a walk. Surprising one is no collar when owner go out with dogs, and they stray. In these days, there are a lot of flats, facilities, and factories. Some of them were built on the sea. It means reclaimed ground which made of concrete, sand, or gravel. Recently, the mud flats and the shallow around the Tokyo Bay were disappeared with the reclaimed ground which is buildings for people can live more comfortably. Because of them, just 10 percent sea all of the Tokyo Bay remains. The anther 90 percent was reclaimed at the discretion of people. The reclaimed ground is seemed that we do not have any problem about them, however, some problem clarified when the Northeast region of Honshu Earthquake happened. It passed a half year, some places could reconstruct, but there are some problems of reclaimed ground. Then, it is picked up two problems. One of them is liquefaction ground which caused by the big earthquake that happened on March 11th 2011 at the Northeast region of Honshu. It brought up that the reclaimed ground made heave up, and well up the water from the ground. After that, it had bad smell in there because of the mud which welled up the water. In these days, there are a lot of people who smoke and walk or take a bicycle on the road in Nerima-Ward. They smoke everywhere in spite of illegal area. Particularly, they are seen near by the station. They have mainly four bad effects to around people. One is that the damage of health because of beings smoked the cigarette smoke. Second is that to be unpleasant feeling because of beings smoked the cigarette smoke. Third is that a burn and the damage to be burned ones personal belongings from the cigarette. Fourth is that smoking and walking is connected with throwing away the cigarette besides a dumping grounds. It is the first half of bad effects that people who do not smoke hate. In fact, the death from the cigarette smokes was proved scientifically. Then Nerima Ward has made an ordinance about smoking. The number of people who smoke and walk is decreasing year by year. However, it is the fact that there are a lot of smoking and walking people in Nerima Ward. Move to the result of a-man-the-street interview. First, this is the opinions of people who smoke. She thinks that there are many people who notice that to throw away it is bad thing, but they do because there is no ashtray, so if there were some ashtrays around them, the number of people who throw away the cigarette would decrease. On the other hand, this is the opinions of people who do not smoke. First people said that she thinks if smokers recognized where the place that they can smoke is, the smokers on the street would decrease. The government should improve how to let them know about where is the smoke stands.

Second person said that she wants smokers to quit smoking on the street and throwing away a cigarette butt for children. Third person said that he was surprised there are so many cigarette butts on the road. It makes him unpleasant and it is cause of environmental pollution. We should change better. There are some people who are lack of sleep around me. I always sleep at least 6 hours every day. However, some my friends and acquaintances sleep only 3 hours every day. They dont seem to be bad health at first sight, but lack of sleep must cause something bad effects to their body. It is very important for people to sleep well. There are several reasons why people dont sleep. Many people have a part-time job after school. After the job, they came home in the dead of night. Then, theymight do their homework until late at night. The other reasons are TV game, stress, drinking and so on. Boys often play a game in particular. They tend to forget time when they play a game. My friend read comics from the first volume to the sixty-four volume all through the night recently. Some people cant sleep because they have something worries. Each people have reasons they cant sleep well. There are a lot of bad influences due to the sleep shortage. For example, students sleep during class. School is the place where students have to study. They should not sleep in the school. The other reason is traffic accidents. When sleep shortage continues, peoplemisstheir power of concentration. No nature and no place to play in Itabashi-ku

Ayaka Nakamura 1180080091 WRITB An early childhood environment has a big influence to healthcare and what kind of person we grow up. Recently, destroying nature is becoming a big problem in Japan as industry has been developed, in which parks are destroyed and tool building are under constructed in everywhere. My town Itabashhiku- has also has been in a trouble to save natural environment. Itabashi-kus population is about 5 hundred thousand people which is No.7 in 23 wards, and located at Northwest of Tokyo. I have lived in Itabashiku since I enter the university so I do not know much about here, but at least I like my town and people. However, if I point out one negative point about my town, it must be no enough big places to play and relax nearby my house. There is a small park behind my house, but it is dangerous for children to play since there is a lot of traffic on the street (kanjou8 street), and children could have an accident. This picture taken from my house shows the problem of no nature and risk of accident.

If there are no enough places to play for children, what is going to be big programs? Recently, the number of children who stay at home and play video games all day has been increasing. This situation causes less communication, failure of eyesight, and unhealthy. Besides to these visual problems, this should be related to our way of thinking. Staying at home all day narrows your view, and less communication may be related to negative way of thinking, because these kind of kids tend to have fear for communication. On the other hand, Going outside and learning new things stimulate your mind and give you inspirations. Our life style is mainly based on childhoods living. Itabashiku is not a office city but a residential area. We have many residential buildings and top of the buildings are not used for anything. Second, school should open their ground for itabashi resident. When I was in elementary school in nerimaku, my elementary school let people use their ground freely. So we had communication with adults and old people who enjoyed playing with grand children. I understand that school try to keep security by excluding strangers, but it is important to offer places to play and to communicate with someone new. In conclusion, I wrote about the problems of no nature and no place to play in Itabashiku. Although It should be difficult to make more new parks or occur a big change, we could protect nature by start with small thing such as by planting trees or flowers. These days, my home town Soka city in Saitama prefecture has serious problem. That is the number of juvenile delinquents grows up more and more. On the contrary, the number of issues happened by them increases. Their age is 17 to 14. In other words, they are junior high school students or high school students. The upshot of the interview and research, there are several reasons for the boy or girl turning delinquents. After researches, get finding solution. First, the boys or girls are not accepted by their teachers. Teachers always corrected for them. This is key points. Of course, delinquents are not good. For example, each school has each a lot of school regulations. However, most of school determines on wearing right school uniform, not bringing unnecessary things, smoking and drinking alcohol beverages are out of the question. In fact, some of students do that. It means that he or she breaks school determines with turn delinquents. Secondly, Juvenile delinquents think that their behavior is cool and right. According to the interview to juvenile delinquent who is 15 years old boy often goes out for pleasure at night with his friends or senior. That is just very fun for him to do and reason why he became juvenile delinquents. Moreover, he does not awareness of his behavior. He said that I am enjoying now. Last data is 55 percent but at this moment, there is 63 percent in2010. However, it is not only Saitama prefecture but also the whole country. I asked policeman whose name is Takao Miyata on November 12th. He told me reason why the number of juvenile delinquent is increasing. Reason is modern education. Recent education is not good for particular students. These students can not understand class. Because of teachers guidance is boring and is not devised. As a result, students are not interested in study and they will turn delinquent. The police work at corrective training. In conclusion, it is necessary for juvenile delinquents to educate good environment. School, home and supplementary private school also too. The society will have to be the best place. In addition, we are included in adult, have to help student to understand and interest in study. Besides, sharing a lot of students future is important too. Both sides have to talk with each other. Their parents, teacher and we should compensate with students are not to turn juvenile delinquents. This is important key methods. There may be cause which turn delinquents in children. Recently, bad bicycle safety is became a subject of discussion within the community. The bicycle accident is on the increase. According to statistics released by the National Police Agency in 2010, about 85000 people were involved in bicycle accident, and the number of accidents is expanding year by year. [1] So the police began a crackdown the person who commits a traffic violation. In this way, the bad bicycle safety is serious problem in community. I would like to introduce 3 major bad manners, it is drive a bicycle without lights, drunken driving and illegally parked bicycle. First, this paragraph contains about driving a bicycle without lights. There is a high rate of bicycle with light, however the percentage of turn on a light is stay 25 percent. Many bicycle load block dynamo which is use wheel's rotation, so the driver will get physically burden. [2] Therefore driving a bicycle without lights at night is never ceasing. The police impose a fine on driver who does not turn on the lights. It is about 50000 yen, but usually only call attention to illegal driver. My immediate problem is diet. I think diet is everlasting problem for ladies in all over the world. So there are so many diet problems have surfaced. For example, too much less eat, anorexia, weight back, wrong diet knowledge and so on. And of course Im on diet. But I love eat. So when Im on diet, I always conflict with desire to eat and desire to become thin. Probably people who are on diet are surely clashing this mind. Then it becomes stress, and it causes so many diet problems. Ill introduce some cases occur with my friends and me. I asked my friends Are you on diet? The answer is Yes. Almost my friends are on diet. Besides, they said it does not have the end; Im a dieter all the year round. Then I asked what is the hardest problem when you are on diet? The most common opinion is I dont know what I should do? There are a lot of TV program or magazines feature on diet menu or method of dieting. Some is inform the wrong way of dieting. For example, morning banana diet, tomato diet, cabbage diet, and so on. There is a similarity in them. All of them are called replacement diet. I think it is not good for human health. Of course, vegetable and fruits is very well for our body, but only eat banana, tomato, cabbage is cause inanition or nutrition disorder. Actually, I practiced banana diet when I was a high school student. At the time the special edition of the banana diet was constructed by the TV program, and banana disappeared from the supermarket in Japan. Especially Japanese woman is so sensitive to diet. I tried it and gain weight, but when stopped, my weight returned above as before. I was really shocked, so I had stopped eating excessively. As a result, I upset my condition. My friend Shiori was tried to replace diet too. She eat calorie mate instead of the meals. The product is known as supplement food. Although she became thin rapidly, but she slumped over from inanition. It is a true talk although it seems that it is not believed. Especially young woman tends to be on hard diet. Then Ill introduce my recommended menu when you are on diet.

My diet rule is eating well balanced meal and taking exercise. You hear I only said what anyone would have said. But I think it is the most difficult thing for dieter; especially young woman. That is, when people who are on diet tends to ask for a result immediately. I want to recommend when you are on diet; you eat salad before you eat staple food. If you want to keep your health, you should eat salad every meal constantly. If you want to gain weight, you should eat plenty of salad before you eat staple food, and eat moderately. And take exercise regularly. If you cant spend time for exercise, you should use stairs instead of escalator. Then maybe you can gain weight and you can keep your health too.

I live in Sayama city in Saitama Prefecture since I was born, so I have not lived in other places.Saitama prefecture is Kanto area in Japan. It is located in about middle of Kanto and above of Tokyo, which is the north of Tokyo. The number of the population of Saitama is 7,204,569 people whose number is on October 1 in 2011 (1).Also, Sayama city is 156,719 that are live in Sayama city and the number is on November 1 in 2011 (2).Sayama city is famous for Sayama-cha which is a sort of green tea. It tastes good and I like it. Also, Sayama city is a little convenient for getting to Tokyo because I can take about 1 hour to get to Ikebukuro. However, my hometown has problem to live comfortably. In Sayama city, there is occurred many traffic accidents frequently, so it is very dangerous for us to live in Sayama safely. First, I looked into traffic accidents in Saitama. In 2013 by the end of October, the number of people who are dead by traffic accidents is 167 and Saitama is worst 4 th in Japan. Also, I compared with the number this year and the last year. In this year, more people died in any traffic accidents by last year and the number is plus 12 people (3). The facts of dead are various. The much in fact of dead is doingnot make sure safe sufficiently. Next is taking drivers eyes off the road while driving that is people who occur accidents are to look aside. Third is driving aimlessly. It is very dangerous because drivers have to take care around. People should know about car and high risk of driving. These three facts also increase by

last year. Many people advanced in years, especially more than 75 years old were injured in traffic accidents. At 16~20 oclock many accidents is tended to occur because traffic density increase in evening such as commuters who drive to their home from office and the sky is gradually dark, so drivers have to watch out anything carefully. Next, I investigated in Sayama city which is my hometown. There often occur accidents and we are very frightened to be involved in the accident. In this year, 1081 accidents are occurred and 1352 casualties so far (2). This result is so serious because the number compare with the number of 2007, so it is also increasing.Sayama city is not safety as traffics. To improve this fact, Traffic Safety Association in Sayama is doing some campaigns. This association takes place some training courses for drivers who drive motor bicycles and two-wheeler. Furthermore, they sell or give out items of crime prevention such as reflex accessories, bright jackets and cycle tapes for bicycles.Sayama city have own basic policy to traffic safety. To inhabit occurrence of traffic accidents, we execute Traffic safety education and Traffic safety campaign. We forward to keep up facilities for traffic safety and let people awake more (2).

I like to live Sayama city, but I am not comfortable if there often occur traffic accidents. I think we can prevent it to notice around not only drivers but also pedestrians.Living comfortably in Sayama city, everyone should care for other people and danger. In Toyo university, the students dining hall convenience store are crowded with a lot of lunch time. People who have a packed lunch or that are little. Do students eat out every day? To money and people cannot get enough nutrition and students something eat from out food the at the like costs like

that. The stress or the malnutrition are caused the unbalanced diet, the monotonous meals, and extreme patience. Moreover there is a possibility of overeating reactionary. A lot of university students live alone, and they have to make meals themselves. However, it is difficult to make all meals that they eat every itself. Because they must do a lot of things, for example, go to school, do homework, wash them clothes, clean the house, dump garbage, take part in club activities, and do part time jobs. To cook them own meals take times and trouble and also are quite painful to the people who is hard to cook. However, to cook ones own meals can save a great deal of money and fix the rhythm of living. Also it is able to prevent malnutrition. Food expenses are economy that can perform the devices. It is said that the cost of eating out is three times as much as cooking ones own meals, so it is so important for saving money to cook ones own meals. If you can decrease the cost of food expenses half, you could save 360000yen in a year. I interviewed 20 people who are students and live alone how they eat of living. First, the question How many times do you have meals of a day? to answer is 2.05 times of a day (average), and the people who eat three times of a day are 3 of 20. It is very few, and to eat meals three times of a day is the basic healthy living. Second, the question How many times do you cook your own meals of a week? to answer is 2.75 times. The people who answered 0 are 3 of 20. They eat out so many times. Third, the question How much do you spend the money at lunch? to the answer is the average 663.75 yen. It continues one month, the cost is 663.75 yen 20 days = 13,275 yen, moreover it continues one year, the cost is 13,275 yen 12 months = 159,300 yen!!!!!!!!! It is very

expensive! However, the over half of 20 answered that to cook ones own meal is troublesome. This is big problem. Last, the question Do you have healthful diets or enough vegetables? to the answer is 16 people said No, and the 4 people who answered Yes cook them own meals over 5 times of a week. Some of them said I tried to take healthful diets and careful to take many vegetables. People have to know how much spend the money on meals, it is very important thing because people eat every day, and from birth to die. It is very long and meals are the most important things of our life. To keep a record of house hold expenses is good thing. It will explain the way of spend the money. However, take it easy, the strain bring about unhealthy. The most important thing is to keep cooking ones own meals without stress, it bring healthy and economical life!! (568)

However, some customers may become causes of problem because of their manners. There are a lot of convenience stores in Japan of course in your neighborhood. The convenience stores open throughout 365 Days and have many kinds of goods such as foods, daily necessities, and luxury goods. Convenience store is literally convenience. Thus, many people visit here to buy something or wait someone. Almost all customers are good. Although, some customers make us irritate. At checkout counter, some customers throw merchandise and money and speak in commanding tone. And then they hurry us. They really make us upset. However, they are customer so we must wait on customers keeping smile. It is not fair. Also, there are some customers who pay the bill talking with cellular phone or listening to music and they often do not reply our words. It is seemed that these actions are not good manner. At parking area, some customers should their manner. My convenience store is near some junior high school so students gather in parking area and they often make noise. This problem has bad effect for not the store, but neighborhood. In a fact, there are many complain from neighbor about noise. We call police at once as measures. Long time parking is also bad manner in parking. They stay in their car for long time without shopping. Garbage is also one of the problems in convenience store. About this problem, a lot of people have a relation to this. Many people dump a lot of garbage which is not merchandises like McDonalds garbage. Some people dump tools of barbecue. My stores dust box is frequently full. If people cant dump their

garbage because of full, they put it in front of the dust box. It makes us disgust. Reading magazines without buying these is a bad manner. These customers become obstacle for us and other customers. There is a signboard which give heed to customers please dont stand reading. However, it has no effect. Probably, they dont think this is bad thing. They read magazine but they do not read this massage. The worst problem is shoplifter. This problem is no longer manner. This is crime. In my convenience store, sometimes this problem happens. Especially cigarettes are often shoplifted. Although, as matters stand, it is found after someone shoplift. As the measures, the shop owner set surveillance camera near the cigarette counter. This problem is connect to shops surrounding. It may be easy for shoplifter in my stores surrounding. If so, it is need to improve this and staffs pay attention to this more. In Japan, there is a idea Customer is god. Of course, customers are very important for business. If there are few customers, the shop may be going to go under. Thus, shop assistants always keep smile and this is their job. Although, some customers misunderstand that they are great and they think it is OK whatever they do. The customers are just customer, not God. Therefore, they should keep the lowest manner as customer.

Lack of communicate with neighborhood

My local problem is lack of communication with my neighborhood. Now, I live with my family in Tokyo. We have our own house. So I often meet my neighboring people but I cant greet them because I dont know them. There are some reasons why I cant communicate with my neighbor. Then, why I cant communicate? An aging and a decrease in the birthrate is progressing recently around me. So near my house, there are many old people and we dont have many young people. Not only this but also the place where I live related to my problem. I live in Tokyo which is not country. I have a friend who lives in countryside. She said that she didnt have the problem which I had. From her words, the place is important for this problem.

What influences does this problem have? There are both negative and positive influences. First, if we dont communicate with people, we can protect our private. And for people who like lonely time, it is not bat thing. But it is not good for many people who want to communicate. For example, if we dont know our neighborhood, a crime may increases. Because we dont notice that there is a stranger. Also, our communication skills decline because we cant talk to people. Now, it is the fact that associate with neighborhood is decreasing and it is not related to an occupation, a place like city and countryside. But it is said that people who want to be beneficial to society are increasing. Though people think that, they dont take part in region activities such as group activities, clubs and residents associations. It is very important for them to join these activities. It leads also to taking communication with people. Therefore they should take part in their region activities. In the area where population density is low, it turns out that a participating rate is high and many communications are taken. I interviewed my family, my mother, brother and friend. My mother often communicates with people but only her acquaintances. For example, when she goes shopping to near super market and meets someone who is a close person, she talks to them. If she meets someone whom she just knows face near my house, she only bows to them. My brother answered that he didnt greet our neighbor. He doesnt communicate at all. He doesnt have any acquaintances around him because he doesnt talk with people who live near my house. If he greets someone, they are his friends mothers. Next, my friend said that there are many communicate near her parents home. She lives alone now but when she lived her parents home, she often communicates

with her neighbor. Also her neighboring people visited her house to give something for example food like leftovers of dish and fruits which they got. I learned that how to communicate is difference by areas. I want to communicate with neighboring people. Many people who cant communicate should consider same as me. So I thought how to solve this problem. First, I should be interested in around me. Then I start to greet my neighbor and try to talk to them. Also we have to take part in the region activity. Young people have seldom participated. But it is very useful to become friendly.

I work over 40 hours as a part time worker because I wanted to get much money to experience a lot of things. Trip, outdoor and drive cost much money, and there are many places to go to. The salary each month is spent to enjoy my hobbies. I do not care about over working because my hobby will not run out. I wanted to work as possible as I can, and go to all over the world. And there, I want to experience many things. One more reason why I work hard is lack of workers. In my job, there are a few people who are willing to work. Most of the workers often absent from their work, so I have to work. But it was chance for me to get money, so I do not have any complain against my job.

Interview 2, Mr. M.T

I work as a par-time over forty minutes because I won the scholarship, and I have to repay it by my own money. I need money to repay scholarship, so now I work hard. If I do not work hard, in near future I will be hard because of the repayment. Near my home town, there are no jobs that pay high salary, so I must work for a long time. To tell the truth, I do not want to work so hard. I want to spend money for my hobbies. Moreover, the cost of commute is a little bit higher than that of other students. As a prevision for the problem, I cut down my money to buy clothes, and walk to school from farthest that I can manage to walk.

I worked as a part-time worker over 40 minutes. I had ever earned about twenty thousand dollars in a month. I do not care about earn over 103 thousand dollars because if I care about the limitation of the income tax, I could not make my living. Now, I live alone, and I have to earn money for rent, food and cost to commute. I always work almost every midnight because I have classed in a day, moreover an hourly wage is higher than daytime. That is why I always sleep in the classes. I know I often bother classmates, but I also have to live by myself. I want to sleep in quietly too. I thought I lead full life, absolutely.
There are several opinions about overworking, and, in my opinion, each of people who work over forty hours make their decision seriously. It was thought that overtime work is illegal, but sometimes it is necessary for some people to earn much money because of their private reasons. Overtime problem can see not only in full-time but also part-time. The different point between part time and full time is considered that the number of the workers. The lack of the workers causes problem in the part-time. Some people work overtime independently, however. In conclusion, company and businesses should employee to prevent this problem. It may be able to solve the problem.

Trouble next house(door) and neighborhood

Recently, there are many trouble by next house(door) and neighborhood. The cause is difference of one's sense of value and lack of communication each other. However, this happens dispute with neighborhood by prompt a little feeling of misunderstanding. Dispute of neighborhood become nasty atmosphere each other. After that, they become feel of stress long term. By the case, they lose their health. As the problem, there are nineth problems. First, lack of greeting each other. This feel unpleasant each other. To greet for our life is important I think. Second, voice of people who speak loudly. Also, this feel nervouness next house(door) and neighborhood. This needs to abstain their voice.Third, volum of music which noisy. Fourth, bark of dog. Fifth, violation to take out garbage of home. This is often problem our community. Sixth, to lap boundary from house to house of bamboo and branch. Seventh, to parking my site. Eighth, child of upper floor, always walk on the floor noisily even if the time would go midnight. Nineth, near to my house, there are many site of construction to buid house or buildings, so it is noisy from morning to night. This is mainly problem our area, so I always feel unpleasant. I think that I want people to have the grace to do. Trouble which is mainly important is decline communication neighborhood. In our local, people do not polite neatly every day. People do not say greeting if they happen to meet someone outside their house. Also, there are people who do not say nothing even if someone say greeting them. Also, even if people happen to say greeting, they do not attempt to say except greeting. That is to say, they do not try to communicate with other people. For me, communication is important means our life I think. However, such as people exist not only my local but also the world in Japan. Communication ability is to communicate well with other people generally. On the other hand, communication skill is way and technique by communicating. Communication ability is said that it is not only to meet person directly but also to send e-mail and to write letter. communication is to understand meaning each other. Besides, communication is careful feeeling and share meaning and ability to build trust relationship. It is ability to guess people's feeling, for example, to notice expression of people and movement of eyes of people and atmosphere of place. By respecting other people's feeling, to communicate timing and expression without unpleasant other people who have their feeling and their will. Communication is ability to do play catch with other people very well. Because of neighborhood, it is possible to meet each other for years from now on, so it is not self-assertion but to hear other opinion. It is important thing for us to do. To improvement these problem is not difficult I think, because it is natural to live our life to protect these problem. The most important thing is not accute of satisfaction but to have feeling to compromise other opinion, but it is difficult for the person concerned. I think that people in each local would be in trouble in the future, so we need to implove these things. First of all, we need to say greeting with people in local.

A problem of Miyashiro town

Miyashiro town is in the eastern part of the Saitama prefecture. A population is about 33.546. Miyashiro town is a small town but there are a famous places and university such a Tobu zoo and Nippon Institute of Technology. Especially, sometimes Tobu zoo is introduced on TV. A construction of a roller coaster called Regina is unique because it is made almost by wood and it is so good thrills. You can also see a rare tiger called White tiger. A railway of Miyashiro town is a comparatively convenient because we can go in the Tokyo area comparatively soon. Miyashiro town may look like lively but there are some not good points. Miyashiro town is not much activity in general. First, Miyashiro town has no big business facilities. There are many convenience stores and supermarkets comparatively but there are not department store or something specialty store in Miyashiro town. To increase even these stores, it is necessary to make some big roads. If there are places with grass or weed growing on it, new road is made there, be the convenience of access and the new business facilities are made there by these places are cleared for make some business facilities. Second, the places to serve are few in Miyashiro town. A big companies and an industrial park is not in Miyashiro town so people who come to work in Miyashiro town are few, that is, people who want to live in Miyashiro town newly are few so young people and young families are not increase. Miyashiro town may become a town of old age people in the future. Third, there are almost no stores for students. There is a Nippon Institute of Technology in Miyashiro town and although many students visit, there are almost no stores for students. There are tavern, coffee shop and internet caf in front of the Tobu-dobutsukoen Station but many students visit in Miyashiro town so Miyashiro town should increase some fashion stores or restaurants, and then students can have a enjoy life and the people of neighborhood also uses these stores. In spite of Miyashiro town has a Tobu zoo and Nippon Institute of Technology, it is not much activity in

general but people are easy to live for live because Miyashiro town is calm and although it is also near Tokyo comparatively, there are many green of trees and a natural environment is beautiful.

After the earthquake that happened 3.11, some parts of Japan have liquefaction problem. Especially this problem happened around the Tokyo bay. My hometown is Kamagaya city where is located on North west side on Chiba prefecture. There were not so heavy damage. But in Chiba, Urayasu city famous for Tokyo Disney Land, had damage from liquefaction. Around Odaiba also had damage. There is a similarity between those cities. Some parts of those cities are reclaimed. Reclaimed land is concluding more water than normal land. In Abiko city, this city is not located on near the Tokyo Bay. However, there were this problem. Before the earthquake on 3.11, there are some liquefaction

problem. But after this disaster, damage of liquefaction was to be more severe. We can see hazard map on the internet, which is the map of liquefaction damage. It is colored red, yellow, green, blue and white. Red colored zone is most dangerous area, if the earthquake will happen around Kanto area. All of around Tokyo Bay areas are colored red, it means very dangerous. My home town is colored white and part of them are yellowed. It shows not so dangerous. However neighborhood is red color because there are located on near the Tokyo Bay. Why is Tokyo Bay area dangerous? The cause of liquefaction is related quality of their land. The land containing many water happens easily. Reclaimed area has more water than normal land. When the earthquake happens, many

ingredients in the ground change liquid by swing. Surface of the ground has water like puddle. Therefore, the ground changes loose, and it causes fall down of buildings. In addition, it may causes break water pipe under the ground. In fact, one of my friend who lives in Urayasu said, after the earthquake, she can not use bathroom for while. Some parts of Urayasu city is reclaimed ground. But it happens not only reclaimed ground but also around field. These days, around Tokyo Bay area which is reclaimed ground have a high popularity among people. As a reason, it is useful to access to Tokyo. In addition, people have clean image about those area as modern cities. Especially, Urayasu city and Ariake are very popular as modern cities. But now, the price of land has been falling because of damage of earthquake especially liquefaction. There are lot of high and expensive apartment houses in there. However after disaster, in most of those area, people live in there didnt use bath room. My friend said, she had to go the temporary bath room which placed on the first floor. Some people said, when they bought apartment house, real estate agency said, The land of here is strong, so its okay. But the land was weak because it contains a lot of water. TV program said, most popular area in Tokyo is Kichijozi in Musashino city. The price of there is twice Ariake area now. But I would like to live Areake area rather than Kichizyozi. Because modern cities is very cool. There are many place to go including Odaiba. The cost to repair is high, but they have to do that. There are possibility

of happen the earthquake on Tokyo. We have to build building very strong, and enough prepare.

It is getting a big problem that many people cant park their bicycles at particular bicycle parking spaces in order to get to

train stations to commute to work and to go to school. Funabori train station is where I usually use, and there are two large

bicycles parking places in front of the station. However, demands of people who want to use them, as a matter of fact, are

much more. When I tried to secure a space for my bicycle and asked for it to both of them, they said I would have to wait

for it at least for a year or it might be more. That was ridiculous. I am the one of those who cant reserve and secure their

own spaces for their bicycles.

First of all, this problem in Funabori is causing another well-known problem that is that those people likely park their

bicycles illegally. It may be on sidewalk, bicycle parking spaces within possession of supermarkets and in apartments, or

somewhere the train station is nearby. You can see many bicycles parked on sidewalks within about two-hundred meters

from the station. The bicycles just become obstacles against people walking there and terribly to people with wheelchairs,

too. The same thing is said in supermarkets because many bicycles there which belong to those who dont go to in

supermarkets are nothing but obstacles to people who actually are the customers for them. You may wonder those bicycles

parked illegally are just bicycles that have been left by their owners who no longer use them, that is, they are rubbishes. This

is partly true, but most of those bicycles are gone at night. It means that their owners come to park in the morning and come

back after work or school to go home by them.

The local government decided to build an almost three-stories building that would automatically accommodate hundreds

of bicycles in it four years ago. Now there it is in front of Funabori station, but it doesnt still meet demands of people like

me. They didnt even consider how many residents would like to have their own parking spaces. Right now, it seems

nowhere else could be used for the places, but there is only one thing I can suggest the government should carry out to meet

the demands. It is to reclaim basement underneath the train station and the government could offer enough. In this way,

Kasai train station in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo realized to meet big demands of bicycle parking spaces. It is a so high possibility

to do the same in my place that people who cant still have one would get easily to Funabori station without looking for

spaces where they often park their bicycles illegally everyday they come there.

These parking problems with bicycles is getting very serious as you can see many of illegally parked bicycles somewhere

the train station is nearby and they arent supposed to be. People who park their bicycles illegally may think they are

sufferer because the local government provides some spaces for their bicycles, but they, in fact, definitely are perpetrators

who bring a bad influence in the local area. The act of being selfish without considering troubles with others is not good at

all even though they are irritated with the local government that dont help them with the problem. Personally I think if the

government tries to come up with any idea to solve that problem and carries it out, my local Funabori will be more

convenient than today for all residents.
