Build It Green Build It Green is a professional non-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy and resource-efficient buildings in California. Supported by a solid foundation of outreach and education, Build It Green connects consumers and building professionals with the tools and technical expertise they need to build quality green buildings. Build It Green fosters collaboration with key stakeholder groups to accelerate the adoption of green building practices, policies, and programs. Green Building in Alameda County Green Building in Alameda County is a program of StopWaste.Org. The organization is a public joint-powers agency comprised of the County of Alameda, each of the fourteen cities within the county, and two sanitary districts that also provide refuse collection services. StopWaste.Org offers a wide range of programs in the areas of public education, green building, recycled product procurement, waste reduction, market development and technical assistance. Bay-Friendly Landscaping The Bay-Friendly Landscaping program provides sustainable landscape guidelines, education, and technical resources to promote the design, construction, and maintenance of environmentally-friendly landscapes. Also a program of StopWaste.Org, Bay-Friendly Landscaping offers a holistic approach to the landscape professional and supports efforts to reduce waste; conserve water, energy & soil; create wildlife habitat; control stormwater runoff; and prevent pollution. About AccessGreen AccessGreen is an online directory that provides a reliable tool for building professionals and the general public to conveniently locate suppliers and service providers of green building products within the 9-County San Francisco Bay Area. The Directory is regularly updated to reflect local availability of products, introduction of new products, changes in screening criteria, and other new information. Build It Green does not charge for listing nor accept advertising in the AccessGreen Directory.
