Education
Individuals living in/ Citizens of Ontario are required to attend school (at minimum) between the ages of 6 and 16. The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) serves children from junior Kindergarten to grade 12 (generally ages 4 to 18 the TDSB serves adults as well). In grade 12, students have the option of applying to a university or college program using one of the application services linked below. Individuals who are no longer in school may also apply for a university or college program at the application service links below. All undergraduate university programs can be applied to using the Ontario Universities Application Centre. Applications to college programs should be submitted through the Ontario Colleges Application Service. Bridge Training Programs provide opportunities for newcomers to obtain the necessary license or certificate in their profession or trade, so that newcomers may work in Ontario. These programs are government-supported, and designed by employers, colleges and universities, occupational regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
