INTRODUCTION

Business communication:-
Communication means sharing oI once ideas, concepts, Ieelings and emotions to others.
Communication is comprises oI minimum oI two persons. Communication is a two way process
in which the sender sends the message and the receiver gives the Ieedback to the sender.
Feedback is not necessary at every stage but giving Ieedback enhances the importance oI
communication. Feedback plays an important role in completion oI the communication.
We need communication at every moment oI liIe, even we are sleeping a message is being
Iormulated and transmitted.
Components of communication:-
There are Iive components oI communication. These are as Iollows.

O estination
Barriers to communication:-
Any obstacle which aIIects the eIIective and eIIicient sending and receiving oI message correctly
and completely is known as barrier. Barriers are divided into two parts
1. 'erbal barrier
2. Nonverbal barrier
Verbal Barrier:-
'erbal barriers are those barriers which related to our writing and speaking skills. These are
language diIIerences, less knowledge about the topic, wrongly use oI expressions, lack oI
vocabulary, inappropriate interpretation, ambiguity and polarization.
O anguage diIIerences:- In business people are Irom diIIerent areas. It creates a language
diIIerence between them.
O ess knowledge about the topic:- little knowledge about the topic also creates barriers.
O Wrongly use oI expressions:- Words should be used appropriately as their intended
meaning is diIIerent Irom their literary meaning.
O Inappropriate interpretation:- the sender and receiver has diIIerent perception about the
same meaning. ue which denotation and connotation oI the words arises.

Need for Good Communication to Achieve Organizational Objective in Global
Business:-
ood communication skills are required to achieve organizational objective in global business
because eIIective communication skills helps in understanding the global culture, making good
relationship with organizations, convincing people, handling oI conIlict eIIectively and
successIully, handling oI language diIIerences. ood communication skills leIt a dramatic eIIect
on listener which makes the listener think about your business. It helps in thinking strategically
about the ideas to work upon them.
The way ICT has changed and impact the way people communicate in
business environment:-
ICT has a great signiIicance on global business. ICT has changed the way oI thinking, learning,
communicating, and getting inIormation. Introduction oI electronic business or e-business,
internet Iacilities like e-mail, have helped the business growing Iaster and also helps in growing
economy. ICT has decreased the prices oI product and this attracts the customer more and more.
For example the government oI $ingapore is spending a lot oI money to upgrade ICT`s Iacilities
to make their country best and advance in business, construction and education Iield.

Familiarity with the vocabulary and techniques of inter-organizational and
international communication:-
Inter-organizational communication means communicating within the organization between two
persons. Interpersonal communication has been described in a general modal that traces Ilow oI
inIormation between two individuals (Alder, 1991). 'ocabulary and language Iactors impact on
all the phases oI international communication. Thus international business also suIIers more due
to vocabulary diIIerences. To reduce this type oI diIIerences, the use oI vocabulary should be
such that the words are used all over the globe.

Clear and concise writing skills:-
The main purpose oI writing is to persuade someone or to inIorm something to someone. The use
oI proper grammar, punctuation, usage oI word does not make the message clear and concise.
The style oI writing should be in the way that it convinces the receiver to grant your objective.
Writing clearly means to write the message clearly and completely so that the reader can
understand, depend on, act on the basis oI that message. Following are the some points should be
taken into consideration while writing clear and concise message.
O Accuracy means presenting the Iacts and Iigures truthIully. II by carelessness, a writer
misleads the reader, the damage is immediate and long lasting. The believe oI reader once
broken may lead not believe the writer again.
O The message should contain all the important points.
O As Iar as possible the message should be short and simple. There should be no any
unnecessary matter added.
O angling expressions should avoid.

Advantages of being clear and concise:-
The main advantages are the readers take interest in reading the message. Clear and concise
message reduces the number oI pages oI lengthy message to shorten. The busy people and the
persons who interested in reading only the summary oI the message may be able to read the
message. Consequently more oI the people who receive they would read it.

Conclusion
From the above discussion I conclude that the communication barriers are the obstacle which
stops the development oI the business globally. To run a business globally, the communication
skills are the most important tool to success. Each organization is trying to develop a good
communication environment and adopting the new way to communicate with the organization
globally. The organizations are adopting the new styles oI writing letters, memorandum, notices
etc to persuade the clients. The organizations are using vocabulary which is Iamiliar in business.
Now these days ICT is playing a signiIicant role in global business. It is providing several
electronic Iacilities to the organization as well as to the customers such as internet, e-mail, e-
business etc.
