REVISION-1 AICL/AA (WB) 5/2011 May 19, 2011 AIR INDIA CHARTERS LIMITED WALK IN SELECTION AIRLINE ATTENDANT

T Air India Charters Ltd. wishes to engage AIRLINE ATTENDANTS, for B777/B787 Dreamliner fleets, mainly on international sectors, on a fixed-term contract, for a period of three years, based at Delhi. In case of a company requirement, these employees may also be required to be based/undertake ground/flight duties at different stations as required in the parent company/subsidiary. The selection will be conducted at Guwahati/Shillong at a venue to be notified on this website at a later date. The applications must be submitted online thru the link for inexperienced Airline Attendants in the career section of the Air India website. The schedule and the closing dates for submitting the application are : Shillong: Application to be submitted by 25th May 11 ; Interviews will be conducted commencing 03rd June 11. Guwahati: Application to be submitted by 25th May 11 ; Interviews will be conducted commencing 08th June 11. The selection process constitutes a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The details of the venue/schedule at Shillong and Guwahati will be placed on the website in due course. Changes, if any, in the venue and time of this selection will be displayed on the website. The candidates must regularly visit the website for noting such changes. The requirement of the Company is continuous and candidates may look up the website at www.airindia.in for future requirements. 1. No. of vacancies: As per requirement and to maintain a waitlist. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates shall be as per the Rules of the Government. Reservation will be based on post-based roster as per the prevailing cadre strength. No reservation is applicable for this post under the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995.

2. Applications are invited from UNMARRIED Indian nationals, who meet the following criteria:A) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2.1 Qualification: Should have passed 10 + 2 Examination from a recognized Board. Note: Preference will be given to those with hospitality industry experience. 2.2 Age Limit:

Should not be less than 20 years and more than 24 years as on April 01, 2011. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. Ex-Servicemen will be granted relaxation in age as per Govt. rules.

A relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years will be granted to persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. 2/: 2 :

Male : 165 cms ( 5 5 ) Female : 157.5 cms ( 5 2 )

Weight : In proportion to height as per Companys prescribed standard. Candidates are required to produce a certificate from a registered medical practitioner mentioning height and weight. Note: Relaxation of 2.5 cms (1) shall be extended to SC/ST candidates and those hailing from North-Eastern States & hilly areas. This relaxation will only be granted to those candidates who produce a Certificate of Domicile of this area). 2.5 Vision: Near Vision N/5 in one eye and at least N/6 in the other eye. Distant vision 6/6 in one eye and at least 6/9 in the other eye. Spectacles / corrective surgery NOT Allowed. Contact lenses up to +2D permitted. Colour vision should be normal on Ishihara Chart.

2.6 Cosmetic appearance : Should be well groomed with clear complexion without any noticeable blemish, no odd scars / birth marks. Even and regular teeth. Diction should be good with a

2.8 Language Proficiency: Should be fluent in English and one or more Indian languages. 3. Selection Procedure: a) The Selection Procedure includes Group Discussion Personal Interview (s) Pre-employment Medical Examination.

b) Only those candidates who are prima-facie found eligible and have paid the requisite Fee, will be allowed to participate in the selection process. On subsequent scrutiny, if a candidate is found to be ineligible, their candidature will be rejected.

c) On the day(s) allotted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview, female candidates should come well groomed and must wear a saree/salwar kameez/churidar kameez or any other formal attire. Male Candidates should be dressed in formal attire with a tie. d) Please note that the Group Discussion / Personal Interview may continue up to 1900 hrs, over a number of days. Candidates may make travel and lodging arrangements accordingly, at their expense. 3/: 3 : e) On completion of the selection process, successful candidates shortlisted for induction, will be required to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME). Their induction will be subject to being found fit in the PEME. Note: Candidates will have to bear the cost of the Pre-Employment Medical Examination(s), which could range between Rs.1000/- and Rs.2000/. The cost of any additional tests, if required, will also have to be borne by the candidate. f) Failure to join the company within the stipulated period will amount to disqualification of their candidature and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 4. Terms of employment and training: i) Appointment: Selected candidates will be appointed by Air India Charters Ltd. as AIRLINE ATTENDANTS, for B777/B787 Dreamliner fleets , on a fixed-term contract, for a period of three years, based at Delhi. Those appointed are liable to be transferred to any station in India. ii) Training: Selected candidates on joining the company will initially be placed as Trainee Airline Attendant and will undergo in-house training at Mumbai. The training period expected to be three months, may vary at the discretion of the management. During the period of training, they will be paid an all inclusive stipend of Rs.8,000/- per month. iii) Period of Contract: On successful completion of Training, candidates will be appointed on a fixed-term contract for a period of three years, which could be terminated at the discretion of the Management during the tenure of contract, and/or in the event of unsatisfactory performance or Company requirements. iv) Emoluments: On successful completion of in-house training and released to fly on line, they will be offered a fixed salary of Rs.13500/- per month. In addition, they will be entitled to applicable flying allowances on a per hour basis. The indicative total emoluments per month for 60 hrs and 80 hrs of flying will be approx. Rs.41500/- and 49500/- respectively. v) Performance Bond: Selected candidates will have to execute a bond of Rs.3 lacs at the time of joining, to serve the company for a minimum period of 3 years and an undertaking to this effect (no upfront payment or deduction from salary only a commitment to pay in case of leaving the airline before 3 years). 5. General Conditions:

i) Reservations and relaxations for SC/ST candidates and Ex-Servicemen will be granted as per Govt of India Rules. ii) SC/ST/OBC candidates must submit proof (attested copy) of caste certificate in support of their claim that they belong to such category. iii) Scheduled Caste candidates who were originally professing Hindu religion and have embraced Neo-Buddhism will also be considered for appointment against the posts reserved for SC. iv) ST candidates must submit a validity certificate (attested copy) issued by the State competent authority wherever applicable. 4/: 4 : v) The candidates belonging to OBC categories, at the time of application, must submit duly attested photocopy of the certificate recently issued by the Competent Authority, in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India. The Certificate, inter alia, must specifically state that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in civil posts and services under the Government of India. The Certificate should also contain the Non-Creamy Layer Clause. The Certificate produced by the candidates of OBC community should be as per the Central List published by the Government of India and not as per the State Lists. vi) SC/ST candidates called for Personal Interview (s), residing beyond 80 kms. from the nearest Selection Centre to their residence, and not employed in any Government, Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Bodies, will be reimbursed second class to & fro rail / bus fare by the shortest route as per rules, on production of evidence to that effect, along with a copy of the call-letter for Personal Interview. vii) Applicants ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 who are eligible for the upper age relaxation, must produce the Domicile Certificate to this effect at the time of Interview from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division, within whose jurisdiction the applicant had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. viii) If at any stage, it is detected that any candidate does not meet the requirement stipulated for the post or has furnished false / incorrect information, their candidature will be cancelled and if appointed, their services in the company will be terminated, without assigning any reason. ix) Candidates must bring the original certificates for verification purposes only, but should not submit/attach them along with the application. The Company is not responsible for returning any original copies of certificates/testimonials submitted with the application. x) Fees once paid, along with the application, will not be refunded on any account, nor would this fee be held in reserve for any future examination or selection. xi) Attested copies of supportive documents, must be carried and submitted at the time of interview.

xiii) Applicants working in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous bodies, must walk-in with the completed Application Form routed through proper channel or along with No Objection Certificate from their present employer. xiv) All communication pertaining to this selection viz. list of eligible candidates and the schedule of GD shall be through website only. Those successful in the GD will have to appear for the PI either on the same day or the following day. No individual queries will be entertained in this regard. xv) AICL reserves the right to reject any candidate from the selection process, without assigning any reason and no correspondence/ communication in this regard will be entertained. xvi) All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing political or other outside influence with regard to their selection will be considered grounds for disqualification. 5/: 5 : 5) How to apply : i) Candidates are required to apply on line, in the prescribed format, which is available on www.airindia.in. The candidates must use Internet Explorer Version 8 &
above for filling up the application form.

ii) A hard copy of the application form, duly filled in, along with all necessary enclosures, must be submitted by the candidates on the date of the Group Discussion/Personal Interview. This copy of filled in application form should be signed at the time of submission. Candidates must submit along with their application, attested copies of supporting documents as mentioned in the enclosure list of the Application Form. The original certificates must also be brought for verification purposes. The Company is not responsible for returning any original copies of certificates/testimonials submitted with the application. iii)General and OBC candidates should submit, at the time of the Group Discussion/Personal Interview, a non-refundable application Fee of Rs.2500/(Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) by means of an A/c Payee Demand Draft in favour of Air India Charters Ltd., payable at Mumbai. Please mention your full name on the reverse of the Demand Draft. (SC/ST candidates are exempt from this fee.) iv) Applications which are unsigned/incomplete/mutilated/without requisite fee/without supporting documents of eligibility criteria and caste certificate OR received by post / courier, will not be accepted and such candidates will not be allowed to participate in the interview. v) A recent (not more than three months old) passport size coloured photograph of the full face should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form. ******
