Background The very first day from our born, we start our learning process and till our dead the process continues. We have learned unconsciously how to walk, smell, eat, touch, feel, run, smile etc. It is a continuous process as it is within human being not to be satisfied with what they have. Rather we look for more and to achieve more we learn more and thus the process continues. In todays challenging world we have designed the learning process in such so that everyone up to a certain level learns the very basic and then choose where they want to build their career on and study on that rather learn more about their preferred subject. As I have grown up I was parts of many learning processes and adopted skills that am performing right now and aspire to in future as well. Some skills have been purely basic but there are skills that I have nurtured due to my strong willingness to learn and be the best at what I prefer. As I mature into my adulthood, I gradually take up new skills. The more I learn, more I know about myself. I know my strengths, weaknesses and my overall capability and my plan is to continue this process till the end. 1987, The Journey Begins I was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh in 5th July 1987. My father name is A.H.M Nurullah who is a businessman now and previously he was a service holder in Bangladesh forest and industries. My mother is a housewife and she is handling all the activities of our house. I have a brother who is currently studying BBA in Chittagong University and my sister is studying in a school of Chittagong. From the childhood I have seen that my family is a very reputed and organized family and people respect our family a lot since my grandfather was a Chairman of the village. We own a major portion of Chandgaon area because British Government gifted it to my great grandfather for his excellence in education and contribution to the East India Company. Since then we are living here with heritage and respect and considered as one of the royal family in Chittagong. My family used to help the poor by financial support and from my gene I got the mentality to serve to society. I think this is my responsibility to continue.

My School Life My parents admitted myself to a kindergarten near our house. It was Mirza Ahemd School in Chittagong. I was very excited, but the classes seemed boring to me. I used to gossip with my friends in the class. I used to play cricket in front of our school. The field was very small so there was always fear that our ball can be lost. Then after completing class five in that school I admitted into Nasirabad Boys School in Class Six. I attended my SSC exam from that school. My college life Though my parents did not wanted me to study in St. Joseph, I had a dream to study in that school but unfortunately I didnt get the chance to admit into school, but I got myself admitted into college. Life in boys school is not very cool, though I was very excited about the school campus and surrounding environments like the building, and massive open space reserved for playground. In school I was not listening to anyone, and failed to make new friends. In home I was not doing my home works, instead roaming around the whole Sangsad Bhaban or playing with my friends all day long. Later my parents identified that I am doing bad in the exams and they became serious. So I had to study hard and did well in my exams. However the situation forced me to do a lot of things against my will. I attended my HSC from that college and successfully completed my college life with a very good CGPA. My university life begins with NSU After passing HSC my first target was to admit myself into any reputed University. My first priority was IBA. I also gave the admission test in D.U.I failed to get admitted in IBA or any other universities. The other place I gave admission test other than IBA and DU was NSU. Thanks to Allah, I got admitted there. It was unbelievable at the beginning and had to pass lots of barrier, but this success showed me a new destiny, a new way to lead my career. By getting into NSU, I gave a warm good bye to science, and entered in the business world.

In the beginning, I faced a lot of trouble coping with NSU environment. The classes seemed exciting but difficult in the beginning. I became quite serious about my study, and started to do well in the semester. But in the middle of the journey I joined in a club and after few months elected as the executive body for my outstanding performance. I gave much time in the club activities than the course work and so my CGPA fallen drastically. Then after one year I created a distance from club activities and totally concentrated on study which helped me to recover my CGPA. I think NSU and my major HRM helped me a lot to change myself and to become fit for the corporate life. Today I have the confidences that I never had. My areas of interest From my childhood I have interest in deferent fields of extracurricular activities like acting, singing etc. There was a time when I was very serious about acting and singing and took lessons in those areas. By time, with the increase in work pressure, I have to sacrifice my dreams and still I hope that one day I will start it again and make my dreams true. I love to play cricket, Tennis, Badminton etc. I love cyclic and driving most and most of the time when I feel bored or sad I used to go to long drive with full volume of hard rock music. I love cycling in the morning. I love to read books and Novels by Somoresh Mojumder, Sunil Gongopadhay, Humauyn Ahmed etc. I love to play with different softwares in my pc. My one of the most favorite hobby is travelling. I love to travel different places. My SWOT analysis My main strength is that I am not a left over. If I face difficulties in something I try that thing harder and if I see in any cases that someone is saying that I cant do that job I feel more curious about that job. Sometimes I end up with failure but I give me the inspiration to move forward. If someone ask me any question and if I do not know the answer then I say that I dont know the answer but assure the person that I will find the answer and will give feedback soon and I do so. I do not smoke. From my HRM courses I learned one of the most important things of our life that is time management. I have a good communication skill and also negotiation skill. I am always concentrated on learning new things and increase my efficiency. I do not have the habit of smoking but drink occassionaly and never got drunk. I dont have habit to hide anything from my parents, so they believe me a lot. They are also very happy seeing that, I dont hide anything to them. tell is my mom, and the second person is my dad. I simply cant hide my emotions to them, and like to share each and everything with them. They are the reason why I became a complete person; they are the people from whom I learned most of the things. My weaknesses are that I get emotional very easily. Few people take the advantage of it. I suffer from fever once in a month which pushes me backward from my tasks. My future plan or goal setting: I have a crystal clear and flexible future plan for me with lots of alternative option so that I can change my direction anytime with the demand of the time. Im a bit optimistic person. I always set higher targets, and believe deeply everything is possible if there is a proper plan and implementation. In my dictionary impossible is nothing, and given a favorable environment with right resources we can make impossible a possible. As I mentioned earlier I want to become an entrepreneur and also a leader. In one word a change agent. Not everyone can bring change in this world, there are very few people who bring change and others adopt that change. I want to place myself in the first category. I believe in myself, and trust on my abilities. Thus I can always set higher targets, and dream to achieve them easily. I want to see my future in solid business background. I want to become a top class, hard core business man, and want to earn a lot of money and reputation by expanding my business all over the world. However I dont want to be an unskilled leader, I want to lead my people from front, and show higher level of integrity. So, to climb up to that stage I need to develop a lot of skills to get competitive advantage. Skills needed to cope up with future challenges: I have to learn a series of new skills to cope up with future challenges. Diverse types of skills are necessary to implement my wants and desire, and to establish myself as a prominent business leader. I already learned a lot of skills, and the pace increased drastically in this semester as I learned, improved and passed on skills in three months. They were Cooking learning, typing teaching and swimming improvement. That put a tremendous impact in my learning habit. Also it raised my confidence level. Now Im confident enough that, Ill be able to learn new things within very short period of time. So, in next semester Im also planning to learn, improve and pass on another three new skills, and they are learning Guitar, improving acting and pass on

presentation skill. Learning Guitar is the dream from my childhood and I dont want to become a professional musical rather I want to learn it and play it for myself satisfaction. I want to improve my acting skill since I have some basic of acting from my club activities and I know want to learn it more since in the real world in every movement we have to go through acting that is showing something which we do not want to do. I want to pass on presentation skill to my friends since I found that most of them have lots of problems in the presentations and make their presentation so boring. Just one step left to the new journey: There is only one step left for my new journey to the corporate life that is my internship. I have a target to finish my internship from a reputed organization so that it helps me prepare me for the new environment and culture. I think NSU changed me a lot and prepared me well by giving me the confidences to fight in the corporate world. I will be thankful to NSU especially to the NSU HR for preparing me well by increasing my skills in different areas. Now, I am a better person than ever before and also consider myself a well qualified person for the job with the skills required. Now I have fantastic case solving ability, good sense of time management, skills of presentation and communication and I know how to handle different types of person in different ways. For my corporate journey I have target to complete my internship from any multinational company. Then I will find any suitable job which will offer me my expected salary of twenty thousand. To cope up with the new environment and challenge I am going through a continuous skill development process. The journey began with one of my HRM course and now I have designed a list of fifty new skills development for the next five years. In the organizations, skilled people promote faster than any others and help to reach to top level easily and short period of time compared to others with lack of skills. There is no alternative than improvement in skills to be successful in the corporate life because a well skilled person is recognized by everybody. So, in this semester I have learned, developed and passed on three new skills as per my skill development process and now I have plan for another new three skills to learn, develop and pass on. Needs Assessment is a systematic exploration of the way things are and the way they should be. It is about finding the lacking of the existing strategies and the finding out a way to resolve those lacings. I have identified some developmental needs in my skills like cycling, cooking, painting, Guitar, photography to learn and driving, singing, swimming, Drums playing, acting to improve and also to teach internet application, typing, and Adobe Photoshop, fishing and presentation skills. Out of them the three skills, that I have already learned/improved/passed on are cooking, swimming and typing. Next I have planned to learn Guitar, improve acting and pass on presentation skill as my skill development process.

I have various development needs in the following areas: I have to improve my acting skill since it is a very important factor to be successful in real life since sometimes we have to act against our will for the success. Improving acting skill I can increase my convincing skill which is not so good. Lack of control of emotions can be reduced through improve in acting. I have lack of sense of coordination so it can be developed through learning guitar since it requires lots of chords to be played in sequence. I suffer frustration most of the time which hamper my regular work and it can be reduced by playing guitar since music eliminates our frustration converting our mind. I have lack of innovation which can be improved by learning guitar since composition requires lots of innovative ideas. I have lack of commanding skill which can be improved by teaching presentation skill. Passing presentation skill will help to increase my flexibility and reduce my fear of crowd. I had selected three things one was learning cooking, another was improving swimming and teaching typing. There are lots of things that; what I want to develop and what I want to learn. Two things that I have learned and improved in this semester were Cooking and swimming. To learn how to cook was not easy but will be very helpful for my future when I will go abroad. Another one, which I already improved, is swimming. To know how to swim is important. It is important for our safety as well as it is the best exercise in the world which helps us to keep fit. I have already passed on typing skill to one of my friend who is not so good in typing. It helped me a lot to improve my teaching skill as well as my typing skill increased in a great deal too. It will help me in the near future. Now I have target to learn/ develop and pass on three new skills which are guitar learning, acting improving and passing on presentation skill. I have already learned cooking in this semester: Todays lifestyle is no more follows the traditional customs of our country like woman will do the houseworks like cooking, cleaning, childcare and man will do the outside work and play the main role of earning source. Now woman are also going for outside work and acting as an earning source for the family. For that, there is very less time for the wives to perform the role of cooking after coming from a long working day. That is why now it is very important that both boys and girls know cooking for maintain a happy life and equally contribute to their housework. It is also very helpful for helping our parents and makes them released from some extra housework. I completed my cooking learning course from one of my cousin who is very good in cooking and she taught me to cook five dishes which are Fried rice, mixed vegetable, Prawn masala, Fried Chicken and a Desert. My mentor is satisfied with my progress and she said the kind amount dedication and enthusiasm I have in learning cooking, I t will help me to become a very good cook in near future. She said that, I can catch the details within a short period of time and this is why her job is becoming easy to teach me. She already told me that, when I will learn how to cook all the five dishes I targeted, I have to invite her to taste my cooked food at least once. I must say she is very supportive when teaching and dont get angry I do the mistakes. In last week two of my classmates visited me to see my learning process. I really enjoyed a lot. Though, I could not show them my best performance. But they saw me to cook a little bit. Still I do mistake while cooking. Cooking is now so easy as it looks like. It requires lots of things to remember. So, this is an added skill in my basket. Pros: Increased knowledge: After learning how to cook, now Ive increased my knowledge. Now I know a lot of things about ingredients, timing, dishes and also how to make tasty food. Improved Skills: I did not know how to cook Chinese items. After learning it from an expert person, now I know how to cook properly. It helped me to increase my skills.

Helping hand: After learning how to cook, I have become a helping hand of my parents. It fulfilled my purpose. Now I can cook for my family when there is emergency. Cons: Lack of practice: I learned how to cook. But I hardly get time to cook new items. As a result, I may forget a lot of instructions and I may forget some dishes. Avoiding duties: My parents now force me to cook when there is any invitation and they do not try to understand my work pressure. It causes me problem several times. I have improved swimming in this semester: From my childhood, I got very few chances to learn swimming and I know very little about it. We have a pond where I have learned how to swim but by times I forgot how to swim properly and faced difficulties on doing this. I have improved my swimming skills because it is very important for our life in all aspect. Swimming is considered as the most effective exercise and very helpful for keeping us healthy, fit and strong. Some research shows that a person who swims regularly is out of various diseases and fell into sickness very rarely that an ordinary person. In our daily life we have to face many situations when we have travel through river or sea by boat or ship. In our country the accident rate in river or sea road is very high. This is why it is very important that we know how to swim properly so that we can protect ourselves from any kind of danger. There might be many other situations when this skill can act as a weapon for saving lives. My instructor was my brother who is very good at swimming and always encourages me to learn swimming properly. He mentored me with good advice that we all must know swimming for emergency cases and also keeping ourselves fit and diseases free. I had to go to Chittagong for learning swimming since it was not possible for me to learn swimming without my brothers supervision. Though it was not so easy for me to learn swimming in my very busy days and learning it going Chittagong, I have successfully completed it. Pros:

Increased Knowledge: After developing my skill on swimming, I learnt so many new things and techniques of swimming which I never know. I learnt a lot of things about different kinds of swimming style and how to make it easy. Improved Skills: Improving swimming helped me add new skill to my basket and regular swimming directly impact on our daily activity. Saving life: I had to spend a lot of money while I had to dedicate so much time for improving that skill. But in the end it is a life saving skill. It will serve me in case of emergency. Cons: Waste of time: If we do not learn properly and if we do not pay attention while learning, then the whole learning process will be nothing but waste of time. Many institutions do not pay attention to their students. So, the ultimate result remains zero. Lack of good institution: There is lack of good institution or swimming pool near my house where I can practice swimming regularly. It requires lots of practice to become effective. I have passed on typing skills in this semester: In my point of view and analysis, I am good enough to pass on the skill of fast typing with sharing lots of technique and procedure to improve the typing skill. I was very much confident that I can pass on that skill because I can type very fast in both Bengali and English and with very low percentage of error. In my typing learning software I found that I can type 42 words on average with 97 percent accuracy in English. I think this is good enough to pass on the skill to others who are not that much good in that skill I wanted to pass on this skill because in our educational life and corporate life, typing is becoming a very important part for any person. We have to prepare lots of documents within a very short time which is not possible if the typist is not good enough in typing. So, I think if I can transfer that skill to my friends and others, it will help them to progress in their career and it make them more skillful to fulfill the current demand of the job field and other fields.

I have given the lesson to one of my friend. After understanding his current situation I provided him all the softwares related to it. So that they can practice in home and give me report of their progression. There is software which begins with learner lesson and then gives the next required lessons in steps if the learner can pass the pervious step. But for that the learner need to understand the software and also need some technical skills which is not in the software which will be provided by me. It took very less time to teach Toufique all the basics of typing. Pros: Corporate assistance If anyone does not know how to type well, it is really difficult for them to do well in the organization. So, teaching typing I also enhanced my knowledge and skill. Meeting competition: Most of the people now are good in typing who is how much good depends on the typing speed and accuracy rate. So it will help to face the competition. Increased motivation: The first thing is to look at my motivation level without a strong motivation to typing, I couldnt type well. Cons: Problem of inaccuracy: For typing the accuracy is very important and the total development process can become in vain if the accuracy rate does not increase. More concentration on softwares: More concentration on software can make the whole skill development process a failure. This is because the softwares games mostly have the easiest words for typing and do not consider the difficulties of real work. My motivation and dedication towards work can help me to develop my skills in a great extent From the childhood I am very much motivated and dedicated towards my work and duties. It helps me to maintain consistency and completing a work successfully. One of the most imperative things that were required for every development process, this was very essential as it gave a chance for the trainee to practice what had been taught.

Since time management was a crucial hurdle during the whole training program, I am also good in time management which will serve me well during my developmental process. Pros Increased Interest Ensuring that the facilities and commitment were in order for the skills to be developed had a positive effect. This way the trainee gains interest as he/she sees that everything is present that is required by them to develop. Increased Concentration and continuity It also helps to increase attention and concentration during training session. I could normally see that their concentration is the sole requirement which can be served by my motivation and dedication to work. Cons Increasing cost For a successful skill development process only dedication or motivation cannot serve unless and until I have strong financial back up. Physical fitness: Physical fitness is a major issue and I become sick very easily which can make my journey to the skill development process a nightmare.

Imminent T&D Plan: The method by which training is delivered often varies based on the needs of the individual, company, the trainee, and on the task being performed. The method should suit the audience, the content, the business, environment, and the learning objective. So I started with them and I tried to gather with them for some times. Now I know the basics. In the whole learning part my friends was my instructor. The three types of change that occur most frequently in organizations are developmental, transitional and transformational. Through following three major steps the changes would be brought; which are unfreeze the discrepancies in the behaviors seeing what causes the dissatisfaction in achieving the goals. After that approach has to be taken to the movement towards the desired changes in behaviors and practices. Then, refreeze the practices with the desired changes of practices. In my near future I am going to develop three skills which are really important for me to develop to be a good person, student, employee as well as an employer of reputed company. After assessing all of my developmental needs I have chosen three skills which are Guitar to learn, acting to improve and presentation skill to teach. For this developmental process I have already found some modes and means which I already have discussed in the earlier part along with all of their advantages and disadvantages. But to make a proper decision I must have to choose the best option for my developing course, because if I dont choose the right path for developing my skills, I may not be able to learn or develop those skills properly and even to utilize them in future. So based on this I have come up with some imminent training and developmental plan in the previous section for my personal skill development. And now moving with those plans I am proposing my developmental program with which I will develop myself in my near future. Based on these aspects T&D development realization is described here.

Guitar learning
Learning Guitar to improve my creativity, coordination and also to get rid of frustration where music can be source of meditation to keep our mind stable for better organizational performance. Phase 1 Priority of my skill developmental need In this phase base on the principle task I will have to learn the basics of playing guitar or the primary lessons. There are different segments of parts in the development process. I have to understand the basics and also practice taking the notes of chords, tunes and rhythms. A lot of things need to be done, and the instructor needs to know almost everything. This not an easy task to learn guitar and a long term process since it requires lots of practice. Other than what it already has costing of my resources will be very expensive. For example for buying Guitar I have plan to buy Signature which is very costly. Acting is the most needed skill to be successful and to be creative for a person. Some have actualized this ability more than others. I am very much optimistic about innovation and also to prepare myself for the situation when I will have to act against my will.

Phase 1 Priority of my skill developmental needs: If I became a good actor then I will have lots of benefits to enjoy. The compliments I would receive for my performance will be highly appreciated, I will be well known for my good acting and I wish to be .Similarly the pride of hanging acting normal when being emotional will help me to reduce my drawbacks. It will help me in the organization to act properly even when I will be in extreme stress of work. In this phase base on the principle task I will have to learn the basics of acting by practical improvisations in the stage. There are different segments of parts in the development process. Because I have only two free days which are Friday and Saturday afternoon. So I have to manage the timing earlier by informing my tutor. I think that I will finish this course within this year end. It will be a costly process since I will have to buy the costumes and other necessaries and may cost around 15000 taka.
