A psalm of Asaph: God takes his stand in the divine council; in the midst of gods he judges: How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah

Render justice to the weak and the orphan; do right by the lowly and afflicted. Deliver the poor and the needy; Save them from the power of the wicked. They do not know, nor do they understand; They wander about in darkness, and all the foundations of the earth shake. I declared, You are gods, and sons of Elyon, all of you; Nevertheless, as humanity, you shall die, and as any prince, you shall fall. Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for you shall inherit all nations.
