Filteration theory At different proximities from the city center have ideal modes of transport.
These modes of transport will exchange smoothly at filteration points.

Binding bus routes Converging routes towards near f.hubs Decentralization of transport hub to free up public transport vehicles (bus) away from the city centre. External networks are divided and converged into nearby filteration hubs, reducing the load of incoming transport.
Hub circulation All bus routes loop around hubs before return trip All bus routes include a loop around the hubs before turning back to its original route so passangers can access any of the three hubs with a single trip. This not only reduces the amount of transfers needed, but increase ease of access to amenities locaed around each filteration hubs
Short range shuttle service Shuttles loop in and out from centre Light weight Shuttle services from centre to hub loop constantly to provide efficient and convenient access around the area.
Pedestian routes Pedestrian friendly streets towards the centre As filteration hubs are implemented to transfer the mode of transport into inner city friendly options, pedestrian and cyclists are able to access the centre with ease. In addition the paths are amenity rich routes which encourage people to walk, reducing the demend for shuttle services.
Iconic Hubs linking additional program featured with hubs Giving each filteration hub an iconic identity to raise profile of the network system by adding a program to the hubs. the additional high density program initially requires a high capacity terminal, therefore complements he intent. The centralized city is simplifid to a converging center with path constraints defined as roads. by relaxation of the path constraints, it maximizes efficency of time and energy of getting to the desination. The process of relaxation reveals merging of paths with an acute angle a feature important to maximization of travel. The idea is evolved to round about intersection system that merges pathes to a multi-directional destination.

This system organizes on a single plane, however circulation operates on varying channels which can be separated by 3 -dimensional separation. Although separation is desired programmatically, the system constraints flexibitlity between the channels which reduces efficiency when operating vertically. By acknowledging the 3D nature of the circulation network, a 3rd dimentional system (vertical) is introduced.

The Solution is clearly defined by the two vertical and horizantal merging system. The architectural form is created by implementation of the system accoring to program and desired circulation.

In conclusion, the design is a product that emerged from existing conditions of the site, it recognizes the potential of the context and refines it in its architctural form. Although a product of the christchurch city, this principal can be applied in any situations, as the system parametrically morphs into any condition given. However we can not rely on it to mold correctly as parametric system fail in sense, therefore it is up to us to explore opportunities that communicate with elements unique each individual sites.
