If one expressed the benefits of this practice, in the Collection of Intentions of the Noble Ones, the Vast Expanse scripture states: The peaceful-wrathful deities of the illusory net, the main and surrounding deities and such, if one repeatedly calls their names, would remove the five uninterrupted karmas, returns the degenerated or broken samayas to purity, destroying (rebirths in) the hell realms without exception, the supreme and common siddhis would be accomplished. In this life, all that is positive and wonderful would be attained, upon death, relics would be formed from ones bones, in future lives, one would definitely attain rebirth in the vidhyadharas realms. This is what the Expansive Dhatu Confession Tantra stated, and thus those who have entered the Vajrayana path, should restore their broken and infringed (samayas) by paying homage before the peaceful-wrathful deities.

This yoga, king of the key confession prayers that purifies and destroys hell, is a teaching given by Guru Rinpoche to Yeshe Tsogyal. Those who recite this secret mantra once, even if one has committed the five uninterrupted karmas, would purify them like wiping clean a conch shell.
