BUSINESS CARD
This business card can be used as a decorative thing on your table. After a few small steps, it will become a pretty painting on the easel with information of the shop behind.

The business card was designed in a funny way. However, it reflects the profession of the owner as a plastic surgery doctor. The colour pink may refer to her gender.

This business card is printed on a plastic piece and the information just shows up clearly when you pull it. The meaning behind this is you will see the effect clearly as much as you practice and Poul Nielsen is here to help you, please contact.....

BUSINESS CARD
This business card is something definitely to keep along with you. It can be used as a small ruller everywhere on the go. However, there are too much information on it.

It would be more practical if the information was printed on a real hair comb. Most of the girls keep mirrors and hair combs in their bags. Thus, every time they brush their hair, they will read the text on it and remember. Furthermore, the idea behind the business card is we are here to help you look good all the time.

Business card can be also printed on a metal plate and it can help you to fix your bike. If you have a bike, you will need to keep this in your pocket all the time. When your bike is broken and you cant fix it with this? Call this number and they will help you to fix the bike

BUSINESS CARD
Every country has different culture and it reflects on their personal things, business card is not an exception. In Japan, they are usually decorated with flowery patterns or animated characters. In China, business cards content a lot of information with a simple design. In Singapore and Vietnam, they are usually double-sided. One side is in Vietnamese and another side is in Chinese or Vietnamese. In England, they prefer to have iconic design on their business card. It could be logo, pattern, colour or shape of the card. The visual effect, printing method, details ,shape, size and material are variety , according to organizational, cultural norms and personal preferences. Business cards are used in formal introduction as a memory aid. A business card usually includes company name and logo, individual name, and contact information such as website, phone number, fax number, email, and address. Nowadays, they prefer to put less information on their cards and replace them by symbols. Most of business cards are printed on card stock. The common paper weight and size are varied by the location for example American size is 88.9mm x 50.8mm, British size is 85.55mm and international A8 size is 74mm x 52mm. Paper weight is 200g/m2, 250g/m2 or 350g/m2 in general. The most common paper for business cards is smooth or textured.

Japanese business card with flowery pattern

BUSINESS CARD
The first design is decorated with building shadow at the corner, which shows the developing of real estate market. On the other side is my name, profession and contact details. The main colours used in this design was inspired from brick colour. However, the design looks like for a builder rather than for a designer. Some details like brick pattern and building shadow are quite common. My second design is based on a dark blue background. One side is the wired-frame drawing of a building. Another side is company logo and website. My name is put at the corner of the drawing as a signature of that architectural drawing. Thus, it specifies my profession in a metaphoric way. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. However, the information is not enough. When keeping business card in their pocket or wallet, they expect to have my contact details for some urgent cases. The third one was designed based on my own personality. It is a folded business card. Outside is the company logo on red background, which is my favorite colour. A red feather pattern is printed on the back. Inside is my personal details and a map of company showrooms. After putting a lot of information all together, the business card became unprofessional. The font is really hard to read, although it looks nice on the red background. The feather texture are for fashion designer rather than for interior designer. Furthermore, the rectangular frame and detailed decoration makes this business card look like a photo frame. My logo is three solid squares, surrounded by a hollow square. The solid quares symbolize for 4 departments in the company, which are design, construction, marketing and sale (from left to right). From a far, the logo looks like a window or a building with 3 darkrooms and 1 light room. The light room represents the department of which the logo stands for.

There are plenty of paper suppliers such as Southworth, Staples, Decaply, etc. However, most of the professional business offices use conqueror paper. It has a smooth and sparkle surface for outstanding communications. The paper is fibres and coated with a layer of pigment (non-metallic). MARKETING PLAN
Marketing is a process that includes market development, advertising, public relations and sales. Firstly, I have to do market research to understand our current situation on the market, including economics, consumer circumstances, attitudes, market needs, potential competitors and also related regulations. Then, I have to identify my potential clients and my market area, which is residential area. By understanding clearly my mission, direction and competitors, I can make a better plan for myself and pay more attention on my potential clients. Networking is very important. In my background, most of the jobs I got involved into were from my friends, friends of friends or from my family members. There are many sources of friends such as friends from school, friends from work, friends from online community, friends of my relatives or even just random friends on the go. It is not where I know, who I know, It is how to use these contacts into my business. I started my baking career 5 years ago as a hobby outside my class and study. I registered in a part time baking and cake decoration course and practiced it at home. Then, I took the photos of my products and put them on my blog together with the recipes and tips and experiences I got from my failure as memory notes for myself. However, there were so many people responsed to my posts and that was how my name and blog was spreaded out. I also joined some forums to exchange the ideas ,learn from the others and improve my skills. At that time, some people used my photos for their blogs or websites illustration. I found out and put a logo with my name and web link for all the photos I used online as a habit. In summer period, I went back home in order to complete my course and get the certicate. During the course, I made some friends, who were working in the baking industry. They invited me to come to their workshop and showed me some techniques and machines that were common in the bakeries at that time. I practiced with baking and made a tone of cakes, breads and pastries at home and they became the gifts for my relatives, my dentists, my old teachers, my friends, my parents friends and colleges. People enjoyed the cakes and wished to order them for their parties, meetings, events and also for their friends or family. As a gift, it should look nice and well cared with my logo and web link. To me, it was for fun but the result at the end was out of my expectation. I was invited by a national organization to an auction and a food fair in order to sell the products and raise funds for orphans and homeless children in the city. Some people were interested in my products and wanted to learn or order more. After the event, I still keep contact with some friends in the organization and join their events, meetings or parties every time I go back home. Back to London, I applied to a bakery close to my house and was trained for 2 weeks before entering their team. It was really hard to

MARKETING PLAN
work in the industry and work as a part of a team. It affected my studying at university and I had to quit the job after 2 months. However, it was a good experience for me to learn how to marketing myself. I should attend in the events and exhibitions, go to workshops, meetings, siminars, speak to new people, keep in touch and exchange updates on each other. Networking with my competitors, other designers and retailers also helps me get a job and create another connection to their clients, fellowships and audience people. In summer 2009, I was helping out at a studying abroad agency ofce. The time before, most of Vietnamese students wanted to do accounting, economic or business and marketing degree in England. However, the trend changed by 2009, more students wanted to apply for architecture or art and design courses. As a senior student, I came to give them some advices, help them to prepare the portfolios, apply to the college and nd the accommodation. Then, we still keep in touch and become friends gradually. I was invited to their parties and events in their colleges or universities. From there, I made some new friends in design eld and enlarge my network. We exchange ideas, learn from each other, going to the exhibitions together and also giving each other feed back. At this time, it is a very big advantage for me as well as my friends to keep updates on each other, share the informations and activities. By the time we graduate, they will be come my potential clients or partnership. When working as a professional, it is important to keep in touch with my clients and other designers, retailers. By conversation, I can get their dates of birth or anniversaries and send them cards. A special card, some owers or a nice gift to some well-known business people will create a great impression and make them remember my name. A thank you note or card also works the same way. Send a note or card with some hand writing or signature to say thank you when Ireceive someones help. They will feel that they are deserved, respected and have a good impression on my name. In return, I can give them help for example giving advices, introducing people or recommending them to the other projects that we know. By being owned a favour, people will remember my name better, sometimes for years. Then, they may introduce me to the others or invite meto their exhibitions/ events. Before launching my showroom, rming our ofce or new studio, I should organize a party and tell people and the pubic by many different ways such as sending out invitation to my friends, my relatives and previous colleges, nding a friend that can promote my name on the newspaper or any other public relation materials. There are some other materials that I can use to promote my own name like business card, stationery, portfolio, website, and also our appearance in the community meetings or events. Our website www.disinnio.com will be

MARKETING PLAN

representing a complete portfolio of projects completed by our rm with client prole and our contact details. It will also have online catalogue, search engine and some other design tools in order to speed up the business, promote our brand name, lower the cost of renting the showrooms and display areas. Online PR will educate our customers about home decoration, product care and also how to improve their life quality We will build up a fancy website with easy-to- use search engine and tools with an online catalogue and a mini online game to attract the customers. The game will help the customers have an over view how it will look like in their real house. On another hand, being authority on something is also a way to advertise my brand name for example I can have a blog or a forum for house dcor, food dcor, recipe and share the 3D models for the designer community with our label. We will have a blog and forum to write some interesting articles, updating news and exchanging ideas with our customers and other bloggers, articles. Facebook is also one of the most popular marketing tools to promote our brand name. We will create some special events and activities online in occasions, promote these events with highly targeted social ads, add contests and voting applications on facebook page to give our customers a voice, sponsor popular applications related to interior design and home products with ads and virtual gifts, intergrate facebook connect to our rms homepage, add

facebook sharelinks on our websites, and blogs, publish fresh photos, videos and updates to facebook page and interact with the customers. Then, we need to keep the customers coming back to use and repeat purchases by keeping in touch with them by sending them brochures, catalogues, invitation note. We will have some sale season in occasions and also saving point programs for regular customers to increase frequency of their visits. We will have some other promotion plan to offer customers added value while encouraging more future spending such as encourage them to bring their friends by giving some special offers for them and their friends, entice them to try the new products by giving discount for their second and third item or for their next order, make the customers feel special by sending thank you note, birthday cards, membership cards, giving the most frequent customers free gift or creating a best customer reward for 10 or 20 most frequent customers or simply just give them a purchase target by offering free delivery or free gifts when they reach that order level.
