In Retrospect
This was a year of administrative and managerial responsibilities at the Ywam Worcester Base: Jerome: Transport Manager Trained and equipped two other young men in managing and maintaining base vehicles. Albino,, his assistant, from the island of Soa Tome, later on became the Transport Manager` Jeromes heart is to train, equip and mentor people and to release them to become fully independent and condent in their own abilities and gifts to complete Gods work.with excellence.. Serving a base with +120 staff and approximately 300 students this year was a process of discipling, integrity and grace. Anne: Transport Administrative assistant, and Student Anne was involved in the paperwork of the transport department and assisted Jerome with the billing system each month.Anne completed a leadership seminar and the Ywam Humanities and International Studies School. God used these studies to challenge, equip and inspire her to seek Gods heart in the discip;ing of nations process.

Ministry Apart from being involved in the required Ywam Worcester base meetings, such as Monday Morning Worship, Wednesday Morning intercession and Thursday Evening community meetings, weve been involved with one-on-one mentoring and discipling. Most of our ministry time was outside the Ywam base. We were involved in offering Discipleship seminars at our church, Southern Hills Baptist . Weve done several exciting and relevant programmes at various churches. Jerome was very much involved in helping SouthRoots, a performing arts group of Worcester, with sound for their productions, as well as helping individual artists with their shows. There is a church in Zweletemba that regularly calls in Jerome to help them sort out their sound system problems.. Anne was involved in prison ministries, with Brian and Trish Dobson, especially through dance. The leader, of the inmates dance ministry, asked her to assist them with their dancing. Unfortunately the red-tape has not been cleared but we are hoping it will happen by next year. Anne also did some dance workshops with children and adults, who is still continuing their dancing to Gods glory. We are also in the process of formulating the ministry, Arts Connexion,. We have been called by God to disciple artists specically. Discovering what aspects the ministry will cover and how this will happen(vision and mission) is taking up a lot of our prayers and discussion.
