ESTABLISHING VILLAGE BOARD MEETING DATES FOR 2012

WHEREAS, Section 2.02(a) of the Open meetings Act, 5ILCS 120/2.02(a) requires that every public entity shall give the public notice of the schedule of regular meetings and committee of the whole meetings at the beginning of each calendar or fiscal year; and WHEREAS, Section 2.02(a) of the Open Meetings Act also requires the Village to ser the regular dates, times and place of such meetings; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Village Board of the Village of Island Lake to comply with the Open Meetings Act; and WHEREAS, the Village Board approved an ordinance revising the meetings held each month, which necessitates this Resolution; WHEREAS, the Village Board, by this Resolution, hereby sets the schedule of the regular meetings for 2012. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ISLAND LAKE, LAKE AND MECEHENRY COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows: SECTION 1: The above-stated recitals are incorporated by this reference. SECTION 2: The Village of Island Lake shall hold regular Village Board meetings at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month for 2012 pursuant to the following schedule: January 12 August 9 January 26 August 23 February 9 September 13 February 23 September 27 March 8 October 11 March 22 October 25 April 12 November 8 April 26 December 13 May 10 December 27 May 24 June 14 June 28 July 12 All Village Board meetings will be conducted at the Island Lake Village Hall 3720 Greenleaf Avenue, Islands Lake, IL 60042

SECTION 3: Nothing in this Resolution shall be construed to prevent the Village Board from canceling, changing the date, time, or location of any meeting, provided that notice of the changed date, time, or location will be given in accordance with all applicable provisions of the Open Meetings Act. SECTION 4: In any section, paragraph, clause, or provision of this Resolution shall be held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provisions of this Resolution. SECTION 5: All ordinances, resolutions, motions or other actions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 6: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. Dated this_________day of __________,2011

RESOLUTION NO. ________ ESTABLISHING BOARD, COMMITTEE, AND COMMISSION MEETING SCHEDULES
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Village of Island Lake, Lake and McHenry Counties, Illinois, that public boards, committees, and commissions exist to aid in the conduct of the peoples business, and WHERES, it is the intent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Island Lake that their actions be taken openly and that their deliberations be conducted openly: NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the regular meetings of the Village Board shall be held on the second and forth Thursday of each month at seven thirty (7:30) oclock pm. 2. That the regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be held on the third Thursday of each month at seven thirty (7:30) pm. 3. That the regular meeting of the Plan Commission shall be held on the fifth Thursday of March, May, August, and November at seven thirty (7:30) pm. 4. That the regular meeting of the Lake Management Board shall be held on the third Saturday of each month at nine (9:00) am. 5. That the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commission shall be held the first Tuesday of each month at seven thirty (7:30) pm. 6. That the regular meeting of the Emergency Management Agency shall be held on the forth Wednesday of each month January through October at seven (7:00) pm. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the above mentioned meetings for the year 2012 shall be conducted in the Village of Island Lake Municipal Building located at 3720 Greenleaf Avenue in the Village of Island Lake.
