LESSON PLAN LEARN CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES USING THE LEARNING OBJECT TITLE: SEED-O-MORPHOSIS LEVEL: FORM 3
Teacher Activity 1. Pre-stage: Step 1: Teacher shows a picture on the screen to the class Teacher asks students to observe and compare the picture Step 2: Teacher poses questions to students. Example of questions are: a) What can you observe from the picture? b) What is the difference between test tube A and B? c) Why the seed in test tube A can germinate whereas B cannot? d) What are the physical changes of seedlings during germination? 2. While-stage: Step 1: Teacher asks students to identify the conditions required for the germination of seeds Teacher asks students to make hypothesis on the condition required for the germination of seeds on a worksheet

TOPIC: REPRODUCTION
ICT-Based/Teachers Material

Teacher shows a picture on the screen to the class

Students write their hypothesis on the condition required for the germination of seeds on Worksheet 1

Step 2: Teacher asks some questions. Example of questions are: a) How to test the hypothesis? Students: carry out an experiment b) How long it takes to carry out the experiment? Students: a week

Teacher Activity Teacher introduces the learning object titled Seed-o-morphosis that takes only a few minutes to test the hypothesis Teacher asks students to explore Experiment 1, 2 and 3 in the learning object

ICT-Based/Teachers Material Teacher shows the learning object

Step 3: Teacher asks students to write the observations for each experiment Based on the observations, teacher asks students to draw conclusion on the conditions require for germination of seeds on a worksheet

Students write the observations for each experiment

Step 4: To apply their knowledge of the conditions require for germination of seeds, teacher lets students to play a game on the computers. The title of the game is Smack Off - Pest Off Teacher tells students to read the instructions before starting the game Note: Students have to control the conditions for germination of seeds and aware of disruption of animals to complete the game The timer is shown on the screen

Students write Worksheet 1

Students play the game

3. Post-stage Step 1: After students have completed the game, teacher discusses the answers with the class. Example of questions are: a) What are the conditions required for the germination of seeds? b) Is your hypothesis correct? c) What is the conclusion from this virtual experiment?
