Dear Students: Congratulations on making it to the last week of the semester! This years Poetry Jam will take place in the MSMC at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13. Dont miss it. Also on Tuesday is the Grade 7 12 Beginners Recital. Come to the Little Theater at 5:30 to support our Middle School musicians and enjoy some wonderful music. Salinlahi Cover Competition entries are due on Friday, January 13. This years theme is Friendship and Cooperation and a photo or photographic collection is the desired format. See the MSMC blog or the bulletin for more details. Remember that the 1st Semester ends this Thursday, December 15 at 12:00 noon. Arrange for transportation home shortly thereafter. 2nd Semester begins on Monday, January 9, and everyone is to report to Homebase for the first 15 minutes of the day. FANTASTIC EVENING OF GREAT JAZZ MUSIC!

Wow! The Middle School concert Jazz Legends was a fun, fantastic evening of great jazz music presented by the 7th and 8th Grade Bands, Strings, Handbell Choir and (Singing) Choir. It was enjoyable to see such wonderful music presented by the talented students, ending with a combined number celebrating the great music of Louis Armstrong. A special congratulations to the all the performers and the music department for creating such a memorable evening!

Middle School Poetry Jam

The 2nd Annual Middle School Media Center Poetry Jam will be held on Tuesday, December 13 from 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. All students, parents and faculty are welcome to attend and listen to poems being read aloud in the library. Everyone is welcome to read a poem aloud. Another way to be part of the Poetry Jam is to display a poem. We are hoping to have a collection of poems from different countries on display in addition to the student work. Please express interest, or submit poems to the MS Media Center before December 9. See you in the MSMC on December 13!

Salinlahi Cover Competition

Each year the yearbook cover is decided through a competition for the front and back cover design. This year the theme is Friendship and Cooperation. The design in the past few years has been based on drawings, but we are aiming for a photo or photographic collection this time. For all the details students can visit the Middle School Media Center blog and all Home Base teachers will receive a flyer to display on their classroom notice board.

Bea Lucero Gymnastics Competition at Rizal Gymnastics Centre, Saturday and Sunday (see flyer below for details) ISM Gymnastics: This coming weekend our ISM Bearcat Gymnastics team compete at Rizal Stadium in one of the major meets of the year for our team, the annual Bea Lucero Cup. We wish all the gymnasts the very best of luck as they have been working very hard since the start of the school year to prepare their routines and skills. Good luck gymnasts and coaches for a great meet. IASAS RUGBY/TOUCH HOUSING: The next fantastic ISM Special event is on the horizon. We host rugby/touch on February 1-5, 2012 and 140 athletes require housing for this event. All rugby and touch athletes have been given a housing letter at practice and I would also make a request for all athletes that were housed in Singapore recently that we need your support to reciprocate the hospitality given to you by housing for IASAS Rugby/Touch. The housing letter can be accessed via the ATAC blog or there is a link to it on the IASAS Rugby/Touch page. Housing letters are due in by December 12th. GAME SCHEDULE PDF: (access to game schedule information) Information about all mid week/weekend fixtures for ISM teams can be found via the ATAC blog. Please note the game schedule does change often due to involvement with many local schools so please check the page regularly to find out the latest information of where and when the Bearcats teams are playing. Click on schedules tab or the Bearcat logo to be directed to the http:// powerschool.ismanila.org/public/ You will need your Powerschool username and password to access the game schedule. BEARCAT DEN: Regular Opening Hours for the Bearcat Den: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 11:30 A.M. 1:00 P.M. & 2:30 P.M. 4:00 P.M. Tuesday & Thursday afternoons, from 2:30 - 4:00 P.M.
