Mr. Palazzolo to contact an Anderdon parent and request that she meet with Heather in regards to running the fair as she has some experience planning these types of events. Possible to get local businesses to sponsor booths at the fair and have senior students volunteer to work the booths. We could extend to in house businesses first. Current fundraising money is being raised for classroom libraries. 5. Principals Report Celebrations a) Progress Reports Mr. Palazzolo commented that when reviewing the progress reports the quality of reports really stood out. Expectations have been set at a high level and the teachers are meeting that high standard. Mr. ONeil added that our teachers really care and he is pleased to say that this caring translates into more care and time put into the reports .

b) Parent Library Applied for a grant last year for Bring your Parent to school day and also for a Parent Library. It has been put together and tracking is in place. Recently this library has been used by children as well as parents. It is proving to be a very valuable resource for our school community. The books are kept in a small room off of the office cool down room. Kept on a shelf and there is a tracking system in place. c) Bring your Parent to school day. Many Parents attended as well as the students. f) A group of students attended a leadership conference in Guelph a couple weeks ago. The plan is that they will come back and use these tools they have learned to run intermurals. g) Grades 7 and 8 students are using TIPS program in Math Heavily technology based and does not follow a text book. Can we run the open house the same way as last year as it was very successful? Edge Imaging offered to do the ID tags for kids at the open house. The challenge for us is getting people in the door. Are there things that we arent doing that we could do? Suggestion to advertise in Early Years Centres, Day Cares and possibly other Preschool Programs. e) Visit from Life Touch photographer this year we used Edge Imaging we could discuss Life Touch for next year. They offer full body shots as well as head shots. Would they be willing to offer services at our open house? f) Anna has offered to do GST rebate application because as non-profit we are eligible if we want to dig up receipts we of course want to take advantage of that. Receipts to be forwarded to her. g) Nothing heard yet on playground working on drainage system but stalled until that issue is resolved. h) Issue brought up in regards to the pavement on the playground.
