On the eve of Gºt³ Jayanti

(December 11, 2005)

Let us contemplate on the following verses of Ïrºmad Bhagwadgºt³

Bhagwadgºt³:

Karmanyev³dhik³raste m³ phaleÌu kad³can |

M³ karmaphalheturbh¿m³ te saógostvakarmañi |
Yogastha¡ kuru karm³ñi saóga®tyakava Dhananjaya |

(II – 47, 48)
(Thou hast a right to action, but only to action, never to its fruits; let not the fruits of thy
works be thy motive, neither let there be in thee any attachment to inactivity.
Fixed in yoga do thy actions, having abandoned attachment, having become equal in
failure and success, O Dhananjaya, for it is equality that is meant by yoga.)

We wish our readers a very Happy and Prosperous

distance. Gandhiji felt as if he was known to him. After some time he could
recollect that old man had taught him in his childhood. Bapu immediately got
down the dais, went to the old man and after paying him respects, sat down
near his feet. He asked the teacher about the welfare of his family. After a long
interval the teacher said “Now you go to the dais. Leaders might be waiting for
you.” Bapu said, “No, no! I am comfortable here only. Now I don’t want to go
to the dais. Sitting here I will see all the proceedings. You please don’t worry”
After the meeting, the teacher blessed Gandhiji

Yantras have surfaced in the market and, in tune with the culture of commercialization, some
have also become ‘logos’ of advertisements. It is pathetic to see that a super-science painstakingly
discovered by the dedicated efforts of the Vedic Rishis for spiritual, intellectual and worldly well-
being of mankind is being wantonly distorted and used so callously and often wrongly through
the Internet in the present so called scientific and technological age. “Akhand Jyoti” – The Light
Divine – is devoted to bring you the righteous knowledge extracted from authentic studies of
researchers of this occult science. This article attempts to introduce the readers to the subject
matter explaining the rationale behind the mystic designs of Yantras and their significance.

Are you really a human being?

Once upon a time a queen willed that after her death following lines be inscribed on her gravestone,
“An enormous fortune is buried under this grave. A person who is really poor and helpless may
dig up this grave and take it.” Thousands of poor and needy persons passed by that grave but no
one was so heartless that he would dig up the grave of a dead person for wealth. One very old
beggar was also living nearby that grave for many years. He used to point to the passers-by
towards that inscription on the grave.
Ultimately a person of insatiable hunger for pelf did arrive at the grave and got it dug up. He was
none other than the mighty king who had just conquered the kingdom in which that grave was
located. But he didn’t get anything inside except one stone on which it was inscribed, “Ask yourself;
are you really a human being? Certainly a person disturbing the dead in the grave for the sake of
money can never be a human being.”
When the disappointed king was returning from the dug-up grave, people saw that the old beggar
living nearby was laughing hilariously and saying, “I had been waiting for many years; at last I
could see the poorest of the poor on this earth”.
Indeed, no one can be poorer and helpless than a heartless person bereft of compassion – who is
always busy in search of material wealth. One day the same amassed wealth would ask him the
question - Are you a human?
