Summary: The journal radiotheraphy with or without chemotherapy for patients with T1-T2 glottic carcinoma:retrospective analysis is conducted

to assess the results for local control (LC) and survival in patients with early stage of glottic cancer (GC) who were treated by radiotherapy (RT) with or without chemotherapy. They used fifty-eight patients with T1T2 squamous cell carcinoma of the glottis which are treated for 5 years (2001-2006) were analyzed retrospectively. The prognosis of the patient with early stage of glottic cancer (GC) who undergo radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy were evaluated by unvariate analysis. The result were there is no significant difference on the treatment of glottic cancer with radiotherapy with chemotherapy and radiotherapy without chemotherapy though combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy is more applied treatment to patients there is a still big chance of recurrence of glottic cancer if nonsurgical procedure were done according to the journal entitling Recurrence patterns of locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma after 3d conformal (chemo)radiotherapy. It represents less than 1% of all cancers and occurs about four times more frequently in men than in women, and most commonly in persons 50 to 70 years of age. Being a nurse we are be able to understand that there is no significant difference in the prognosis of patient with glottic cancer (GC) who had undergone radiation therapy with chemotherapy (19 patients) and patients with glottic cancer (GC) who had undergone radiation therapy without chemotherapy (39 patients) has no significant difference in their prognosis. By this journal nurses are more aware of the prognosis of the combined and uncombined radiation therapy and chemotherapy; we become more knowledgeable and we can apply this journal by sharing our knowledge to our colleagues and also application of this knowledge into clinical area since we are the primary care givers of the patients, we are now able to explain the different therapy for their illness and what are the differences in their prognosis.

Significance to nursing Education The significance of this journal entitled radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy for patients with T1-T2 glottic carcinoma: retrospective analysis into nursing education is the content development, class environment, and course objectives was appropriate for increasing the knowledge of the nurses in the course of treatment of patients with glottic cancer and being more confident in answering the difference of the prognosis of the different treatment being rendered to the patient, because as we all know patients often ask questions such as; Which is a better treatment for my cancer? therefore because of this journal we nurses are able to respond to the questions of our client appropriately and more confidently. This journal would also serve as a guide in educating nurses in the classroom setting their fore updating our knowledge as student nurses and bringing a high standard education in nursing profession and because of this journal we Filipino student nurses will become more competent in global setting; we are updated of what is the difference in the prognosis of the different treatment being rendered in our clients with glottic cancer. Significance to Client The significance of this journal entitled radiotheraphy with or without chemotherapy for patients with T1-T2 glottic carcinoma: retrospective analysis in my client is to be able to make him know what is the best treatment for their illness and also to be more cost effective, because as we all know; being confined in the hospital for this treatment cost a lot therefore because of this journal my patient will become more practical in choosing the treatment that is best for him by explaining this journal. This journal also serve as a tool in making the client more aware of the different treatment that he need to undergo and choosing the best treatment for themselves; being a student nurse that knows this journal it is our duty to educate our client and help them by explaining to them what is the best treatment for their illness. Significance to Local Setting The significance of this journal entitled radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy for patients with T1-T2 glottic carcinoma: retrospective analysis in the

local setting is to be able to provide a cost effective care to patient and as we all know treatment here in the Philippines cost a lot and there is a scarcity of resources especially in the public hospitals; therefore because of their journal; this would help patient to choose the best treatment for his illness and become more knowledgeable to the difference of prognosis of the different treatments.
