were clad by Arc Energy with a 3.5mm coating of Inconel 625. W Maass is also currently designing and manufacturing a special pipe-in-pipe 'Hot Tap Tee' component for the same project, which will allow a future tie-in to the pipeline, should it be required by the operator. This component will also be fully clad by Arc Energy. Commenting on the relationship, W Maass managing director David Toone said: "Over the twelve years we have worked with Arc Energy, the quality of their cladding and their service has always been consistently high. We now source all our weld overlay cladding from them and they in turn cooperate with us on contracts, so when we win they get the cladding order." Arc Energy sales director Alan Brown agreed that the relationship works very well and adds that the two companies developed their partnership before partnerships were fashionable.
