December 19, 2011

Good morning.
There is one piece of dividend investing news that I forgot to mention on Sunday. On December 20, 2011, General Mills (GIS) will have their shareholder earnings conference call. These calls are important for investors such as myself, so I will be listening in to the call. If you go to General Mills (GIS) investor relations website, and then the Presentations section here1, you will see that there is a presentation on December 20, 2011, 8:30 E.S.T. So on December 20 th, if you go to their website, you can login, and listen along to the conference call. I discussed the value of these calls when I ran my daily blog. It gives you an idea of what the 'street', or the 'auction at large' is concerned about. As well, it allows you to listen to management, and decide for yourself on the picture they try to present on their public earnings. Now, I haven't yet purchased General Mills (GIS) for the A.M.B. Portfolio. I own this stock for myself personally, but really, that's besides the point. As pointed out in earlier newsletters, I have a 'watchlist' of dividend stocks that I keep an eye on. Some of those stocks, I do not personally own. But I still to know what's going on with each company. In this way, I can be better informed when I decide to make a purchase. Or perhaps, when not to make a purchase. Also, I should mention that I entered a EUR/USD long last night. When the EUR/USD opened, it fell, and fell immediately. In then stopped, and 'congested' for about an hour. I bought a break up out of this congestion at 1.2994(5) for 260 units for the A.M.B. Portfolio. I took the first 208 out at 1.2999(8), and then rode the stop up on the last 52 units, and was taken out at 1.3000(3). Chalk up another profit for the Micro-Forex. I'll keep those small trades going when I see them develop. But I still have my eye on the larger trade for the big mean reversion, with the smaller position size. Until next time, stay safe trade well, and remember that loving other people doesn't cost a dime.
