FROM THE PASTOR
The Christmas Season is upon us with all its joy and glee. But, for many it has become a burdensome event. The mother who struggles just to have gifts for her children, or a family who is celebrating Christmas for the first time without a loved one due to sickness or death. This day was meant to bring families and friends together for a time of laughter as we think upon how wonderful it is to be together especially if families are Christ oriented. The Christmas Season is just a special reminder of our choice to worship Christ each day of the year. And we should live always with a giving spirit to family, to friends, and those who dont know Christ. We should never put away the decorations. They should remain in our heart. We should never take the lights off the tree of our heart (the ever green tree represents eternal life). Christmas is about reaching out beyond self to reach others. Its about a baby who became a 33 year old man who said yes Ill be the savior of the world. About a virgin who said yes, God, you can use me when she could have been stoned for getting pregnant without a wedded husband. And God the Father vacating His Sons right hand position as the Eternal Word, so the Word could be made flesh and dwell among men. Hallelujah its Christmas. And Jesus is still the reason. Come and take a journey back in time, back to the place where Jesus walked while He was on this earth. Get your sandals on and pack up your saddlebags, we are heading on a 4 week road trip from Jerusalem to the little town of Bethlehem. Youre invited to join us on our journey to the original Joy Story. If your child is not a part of the Childrens Ministry here, we invite them to join us on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. for Sunday School, 10:30 a.m. for Childrens Church & 6:00 p.m. for Creative Kids and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. for Kids Church. _____________ WELCOME NEW MEMBERS

J.O.Y GROUP CHRISTMAS The Jesus Older Youth Group (age 50 +) Christmas Party will be th on December 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the large room upstairs. We encourage everyone that is age 50 and over to attend. Or if youre not yet 50 but would like to join us for a time of fun, food and fellowship, you are welcome. There will be some special unbelievable entertainment that you just dont want to miss. Everyone is asked to bring a finger-food type dish (sandwiches, cookies, candies, appetizers, etc. anything you can pick up with your fingers and eat) and a 2 liter soft drink. If you want to participate in the gift giving, the ladies are to bring a $5.00 ladies gift and the men will bring a $5.00 mens gift. Mark your calendars now!
