was held in Dallas in 1984. This milestone was reached on November 18th as the final four SUPERBOWLS of the season convened. Praise God there have been over 95,000 responses to the Gospel! Once again this year, we had the opportunity to help out at all 4 SUPERBOWL events that were held in the Northeastfrom Portland, to Springfield, to Providence, then last in Manchester. We rejoice over the many decisions that were made over the 4 weekends, but we also PRAY Attendance5,743 that the VITAL part of follow up is done for these Decisions706 new babes in Christ! Churches219 Would you please pray Slices of Pizza16,343 that churches would be faithful in contacting and Sodas8,475 discipling these new conStaff325 verts?
FUN FACTS!
THE PLAN
I would love to see 35 new churches with Word of Life in extreme northern Maine over the next 2 years. I believe this could be the beginning of a resurgence of biblically principled youth ministries from North to South. Something exciting happens when a church takes Gods Word and upholds it as the Play Book for youth ministry. I cant wait to see whats in store!
Teens listen to the Gospel at the SUPERBOWL in Portland, Maine.
The kids are keeping just as busy as we are these days. We all enjoy traveling with Eric on Sunday mornings as he visits churches all over Maine. They are learning how they, too, can minister to others and its exciting to watch them serve our Lord. SUPERBOWL is certainly the kids favorite time of year and they are invaluable helpers. We start about 1 week before with packing prize bags for the facilities we use during SB night. They try to keep us in the loop as far as whats cool for prizes. They also pack our counseling packets500 of theminto sandwich baggies. Courtney and Kristyn ran a prize table at the Providence SB and Nate was on the ice (which he loves) helping Eric run Minute To Win It. At the Manchester SB, Nate AND Kristyn were on the ice and Courtney ran a prize table. Courtney also helped with registration which is a very important job. It was neat to see my oldest taking adult leaders through their packets. My girl is growing up! We also use the kids for sheer brute strengthlugging things out to the van, loading, unloading and loading again! Our kids are indispensable. They love being part of the behind the scenes. But ministry for them is not just SUPERBOWL. School is proving to be quite the mission field also. Please pray that they will continue to let their lights shine in this dark environment. We are finding that not all of it is dark however. They have found other Christian kids (and teachers) who share their faith. Praise the Lord! The school even has a weekly Bible study which they attend. Another avenue of ministry for them is the opportunity to visit youth ministries all around Maine. We love seeing them encourage other teens and leaders by saying Bible verses and participating in different Word of Life youth groups.
