Responsibilities:
F Have good contacts with all students starting from 01 batch. F Collect the mail ids and their phone numbers immediately. F Create a special mail id for collecting their information and negotiating official matters. F The following details are necessary while collecting their details: Batch: Year of passing: Name: Roll no. (If they remember): Working Details (if any): Place : Company / Organization: Designation: Platform: Scale : Study Details (if any):

F Use social networks like Face book, Orkut etc. to have contacts with them. F Better arrange alumni function at their free time like holidays, weekends etc. F If possible arrange small guest lectures by them related to academic-industry relations, struggles they faced while getting jobs, the importance of the academic subjects & percentage of marks in their carrier etc. F Invite cordially all the alumni, from before 2 months onwards. Regular invitations from mails, social networks should be there, so that we have to give a mark of their importance and presence.

F If possible, with their interest we can collect funds to develop the dept. infrastructure like the dept. library etc. F We can also entertain them in uplifting the poor students in their carrier by providing sufficient and necessary help. F Make them aware departmental important issues and events through Dept. Blog www.bits-electroins.blogspot.com F If possible with the alumni concern, give their contact number and mail id to the outgoing students for guidance. F Honor old students when they come to alumni meet or when they come to give guest lecture etc. F Accept the alumni contribution whatever it is.

II Sem Planning:
Dept. alumni meet tentatively on 18th or 19th February. Guest lecturers (about academic-industry relations, struggles they faced while getting jobs, the importance of the academic subjects & percentage of marks in their carrier etc.) by the alumni. Maintaining of activities information through file/note book. Tentative budget based on no. of guest lectures, their accommodation, honoring etc. Once they come what we do what the implementation is? Once they come, we need to take their signatures and put that in activities file/notebook.

Dept. Higher Education Cell

F Arrange Gate classes in important subjects. F The important subjects for GATE from our dept. are: o o o o o o o Network Analysis Electronic Devices & Circuits Pulse Circuits Digital Circuits Control Systems Communication Engineering (includes S&S, PTSP, EMTL, AC, AWP, DC) Microprocessors

F Select efficient faculty to teach the above said subjects on their own interest. F If faculty is not available for some subjects, arrange guest lecturers to teach the remaining subjects. F Even though our faculty is available, on demand we can arrange guest lecturers for specific topics. F Every week we should have complete and continuous 3 hours. F Proper time table is necessary to arrange GATE classes. F Interested students should be selected. The selection criterion should be based on own their interest. F Faculty is requested to collect proper material to teach the students. F Faculty is requested to prepare the solutions of GATE previous papers. F Faculty is requested to maintain a file regarding their subject. F Provide Higher Education information (regarding GRE/TOFEL/CAT/MBA etc.) F Create awareness about Higher Education from II years onwards through guest lectures by eminent personalities. F Arranging Guest Lectures / Taking Guest Lectures by our own faculty for II, III & IV year students. F Provide information regarding books / Links / coaching centers etc. relevant for higher education. F Maintain Higher Education information, update regularly and inform to the students.

II Sem Planning: Planning for GATE classes Implementation (Faculty requirement) Requirement regarding classes Tentative budget.
Initiate students regarding GATE Score. Arrange guest lecture for all the students about Different Paths Available after B.Tech. - Planning Separate files to be maintained.

Regarding Guest lectures


F Arrange guest lecture for at least 2 important and tough subjects based on their curriculum. F Arrange TA and honoree amount to the guest lecturers. F Subject teachers are requested to suggest the names of the efficient personalities to deliver lectures. F Along with subject topics it is better to have lectures on topics like latest trends in electronics and communications. F If any faculty is interested to deliver guest lecture to our faculty, he can be encouraged.

II Sem Planning:
Arrange minimum two guest lectures for each year of students regarding their curriculum subjects. Tentative budget. Implementation procedure.

POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS

F Demonstration is to be given to the students about how to prepare and present a paper presentation. F Collect complete information regarding symposiums at various institutions and passing the same to the students. F Based on their interest and paper, select the student teams for participation. F If students paper is advanced one, then senior faculty in the dept. will guide them. F At least 10 to 15 papers are to be presented per each semester. F No restrictions (attendance / academic performance) in sending the students to present papers. F Some encouragement should be there for winning teams. F Class teachers are requested to encourage the students in giving presentations. F The interested students are directly approach the incharge. Then the incharge inform this to the HoD for further proceedings like attendance etc. F For practice point of view in every section seminars should be conducted. For this both the sections of a particular year of students should be combined. A special team should be appointed to conduct these seminars. This is particularly for 2nd and 3rd year students. F A file should be maintained which includes the details of students those who present papers and their participation and winning certificates. F In a semester repeated students are not allowed unless there are no other batches come forward to present papers. F Students are directed to present at least one paper before they come IV-II Sem. This is mandatory. F Implementation procedure F Tentative budget (for encouraging students)

Training in Soldering

F This is exclusively for 2nd year students. F Compulsory two complete and continuous hours are required to conduct this. F Students are directed to buy their own material (I.e., Soldering iron, led, flux, general purpose PCB etc.) regarding this training program. F The entire section will come to the lab. F At that particular time lab should be completely free. No other slot is arranged in the lab during soldering session. F All lab technicians should be free and they are requested to involve completely during session. F A small hobby kit will be prepared by the students at the end of 2 nd year 2nd semester. F Demonstration is required about precautions by the senior lab technician. F Serious monitoring should be there during session.

F Collecting different articles from students and staff (soft copy) and loading in the section of SCOOP. F Mid and Unit test marks updating. F Attendance updating for every 15 days. F Loading B.Tech and M.Tech question papers year wise and semester wise. F Loading lecture schedules of the current semester.

F Loading Assignments and necessary subject materials with the cooperation from the faculty. F Loading syllabus copies of B.Tech and M.Tech courses. F Providing necessary web addresses for the sake of improving their soft and technical skills. F Providing necessary web addresses regarding mini and major projects. F Providing messages and flash news to all the students and staff. F Loading time tables of the current semester. F Providing necessary and sufficient GATE & IES material to the students. F Loading students information into the blog. F Provide necessary information regarding placements.
