Executive summary
We have visited PEL (Pak electron limited) for this research report. In PEL 6000 employees are working. PEL is the leading manufacturer of home appliances and power appliances in Pakistan. Most of the employees are working at engineers, sub engineers and supervisor posts. Reason for more technical job is that this organization makes different power appliances like AC, refrigerators, meters and transformers etc. To assemble the parts of these products organization needs sub engineer level employees. To fill these posts organization hires DAE (Diploma of associate engineering) qualified employees. And for engineer and supervisor level posts organization hires B.Sc engineering qualified people. But mostly DAE qualified employees are promoted to the supervisor posts due to their performance or satisfaction to their jobs. But it is also a fact that most employees do work for a few time and then leave the organization. The HR manager of the PEL told us that here dissatisfaction is available but at low level. 3 to 4 % dissatisfaction is available in PEL. And this dissatisfaction is totally related to the working level employees. We prepared two type questionnaires to know about the reasons of dissatisfaction. One for management and other for individuals like sub engineers or technicians. Questionnaire for management is 01 and for individuals is the sample of 100. Because dissatisfaction is low in PEL so there is minor difference between management and individual information in questionnaire.
