Problems of English College Student

I. Introduction Thesis statement: in the university, there are still many problems that faced by English college student to learn English which disturb them to learn English well, they are hard to speak English, hard to remember vocabulary, they can not apply their English well and they don't have many english book.

Body A. Hard to speak english They are afraid if they make a mistake There are some words that hard to say Don't have good confidence Sometimes missing a word when speaking

B. Hard to remember vocabulary - They have different concentration - Seldom to apply the words - Seldom to make sentences

C. They can't apply their English Often speak another language Hard to looking for native speaker

D. Don't have many English books Hard to looking for a good book There is no enough money

Conclusion To conclude, problems of college student in English department have annoyed them to learn and

get knowledge about English maximally. The students must be able to to handle these problems so that they can get knowledse about English and they can apply it quickly without any problem.

Problems of English College Student

English is an important language in this modern era. In our daily activity, we often find words in english like using computer to find information through internet, watching English movie, seeing the written which use English etc. If english is always used by many people, so it is more important for us. In addition, English is also one of the international language that must learned so that we will get information as soon as possible. Now, English was learned by different age of Indonesia people such as in Elementary school, Junior high school, Senior high school and in University. In University, there are still many of college student that get problems to learn English, so these problems disturb them to learn English well. The problem that often appears from college students to learn English is that they get trouble to speak English. Its mean that, hard for them to speak English to other people. It probably caused by their feeling because they are afraid if they make a mistake in speaking. They feel shy to another people. These mistakes also caused by words that they want to say. Not only all of English words is easy to say for them. Some of words are hard to say because they have different culture. So, they lost their confidence whereas they need it to speak English clearly to the others. Not only in speaking, the college student also find remembering vocabulary problem. Different people have different concentration. Not all of student have good concentration. It is important for them to remember vocabulary so that they understand in English written and in speaking. In addition, if they seldom apply the words of English, they will forget about what have they remember before. So, the words that they remember must be applied too. If they seldom to apply it like make sentences, it probably makes their vocabularies will lost. So, they must continue to apply it so that they always remember. Furthermore, the problem also come from applying their English. College students can not apply their English well. The problem is they often speak another language and they seldom to speak English to the others regularly. If they always speak another language they will not be able to be master in English. In the other hand, it is hard for them to speak English to other people regularly and in every time because the native speaker is not around them. The native speaker is still hard to find whereas the college student need them to apply their English. Moreover, the important thing which college student must have to learn English is English book. Without it they will be nothing. Many of students get knowledge about English through English book. They will get trouble if they only learn from the lecturer. Now, it is hard for them to looking for a good book because just a little of bookshop that sell quality book, whereas it is very important for them. It makes them hard to do their exercise if some subject didn't explain by lecturer when studied in the campus. The problem also come from the money. Not all of students are rich people. The university should prepare complete book in library so that the college student who don't have much money can get book without buy in the bookshop. To conclude, problems of college student in English department have annoyed them to learn and get knowledge about English maximally. The students must be able to to handle these problems so that they can get knowledse about English and they can apply it quickly without any problem.
