My last semester results have not yet been declared. What to fill in aggregate % field?
Fill in the aggregate % up to current semester. Please note that your admission will be provisional subject to securing the required percentage after the final examination (i.e. aggregate of all the years/semesters)

My Qualifying Discipline is not shown in the Information Brochure. What to do ? You can apply for the relevant programme(s) listed in the Brochure based on your qualifying degree/ GATE discipline. Please note that final decision on your application will be taken by the respective Department. My university follows annual system. In which column should I fill the marks/CGPA? Enter the marks you get at the end of the year in second semester field for the corresponding year. For instance if you have scored 81%, 87% and 91% marks in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year, enter these in the Year 1 semester II, Year 2 Semester II and Year 3 semester II, respectively. I made a mistake while filling the form. What to do now? Fill in a new form with the same demand draft number. Write the correct application number & your name on the backside of the demand draft. In case you have not submitted your form, you can modify the form. I have done B.Tech./M.Sc. but I have no GATE/CSIR/UGC NET. Am I eligible for full-time programme? No, you are not eligible without GATE/CSIR/UGC NET. But if you are B.Tech. with CGPA of 8.5 you can be considered without GATE. Also, you will be considered for institute assistantship for Ph.D. if you are B.Tech. from any IITs with CGPA of 8.5. I have secured high GATE score but my CGPA or marks required by MNIT Jaipur is less than the minimum prescribed. Am I eligible to apply? No, you are not eligible. I want to apply as a part-time or sponsored candidate. Do I need to have GATE? For Sponsored (full-time) or part-time, GATE is not required. However, you may be given preference if you possess GATE score. My University has awarded me First class but my aggregate percentage of marks or CGPA as per MNIT Jaipur norm is less than 60% or 6.5 (on a 10 point scale). I belong to General/OBC category. Am I eligible to apply? No, you are not eligible to apply as per MNITJ norms. For details please read the Information Brochure. I applied for GATE under the General category but now I have got the OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate on the format prescribed by the Govt. of India. Can I now apply under OBC category? Yes. You will have to submit the proof at the time of interview. Can I send more than one form with one Demand Draft? Yes. You have to enclose one DD only with three print forms of different departments (these three printed forms correspond to three choices in on-line form).

In whose favour the DD should be drawn? It should be in favour of "Registrar, MNIT Jaipur", payable at Jaipur ONLY. Can I take DD from any other bank? You can take DD from any other nationalized/Govt. approved bank; the DD should be payable at Jaipur. Do I have to attach any document including caste certificate with the completed form? You are required to attach all the documents alongwith your printed application/s. I have filled up more than one form and have attached DD with each form as per instructions. Can I send all the forms together in one envelope. Yes, you can send all the completed forms in one envelope. Remember, you can apply to three departments (three preferences on one form) with one application-fee.

I have filled up online application and sent the hard copy with DD to the address given in the Brochure. Whom should I contact to find out the status regarding receipt of my application? After we receive the hard copy of online application with DD, the form will be validated and status will be shown in the list of eligible candidates on web-sitehttp://academic.mnit.ac.in/phd I have filled up downloaded application /application purchased from the SBI/Canara Bank and sent the completed application with DD to the address given in the Brochure.. Whom should I contact to find out the status regarding receipt of my application? You MUST still fill on-line form which is mandatory. You should contact the concerned Department at the telephone numbers given in the directory at site- www.mnit.ac.in for shortlisting criterion and interview schedule. The exact time & date of interview, final result of selection or waitlisted candidates will also be displayed on web-site- http://academic.mnit.ac.in/phd
