Dr Adedayo Osholowu, the driving force behind visionary startup Dayo Osholowu Medical Practice Group was selected by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group as one of the Emerging Nigerian Entrepreneurs for 2011. Osholowu, who conceived his business idea during a postgraduate course at the University of Capetown, set up the Dayo Osholowu Medical Practice just a few months ago, following a successful career working as a Sports Physician with the leading international Sports Teams and

Dayo Osholowu Medical Practice Group organizations including the Nigerian National Team and FIFA South Africa 2010 World Cup organizing committee and Special Olympics International A string of clients have already signed up for the Medical Practice Groups Specialist Sports Medicine consultancy service which co-ordinates the implementation, development and delivery of medical services and facilities for professional clubs, National and International sports tournament organizers. The client list already includes international international Teams and tournament organizers such as Dodan Warriors Professional Basketball Team, Lagos Rugby 7 Organizers, Special Olympics Nigeria, with the prospect of more national and international sports franchises to follow. In addition, this past month the Medical practice of Dr Dayo Osholowu entered into a strategic alliance with Lagoon Hospitals Nigerias leading private Hospital Group to license and operate the Dayo Osholowu Brand of Sports Injury Clinics targeted at amateur, recreational, youth athletes and weekend warriors across Africa. Leveraging his expertise, know-how and track record from providing services to leading professional athletes across the Continent, Dr Osholowu have developed an innovative business model to fill an unmet market need. He operates and manage clinics in partnership with the leading hospital groups to reach patients requiring world class Sports injury care and exercise Advice to fit their lifestyle needs: an existing and growing market across Africa. They are also currently in talks with the leading hospital groups in Ghana and Kenya to launch the service in these markets and are actively seeking management contracts with teams and tournament organizers across the continent. With an estimated turnover of over $2 million, Dr Osholowu intends to seek a listing of the medical group on the second-tier securities market (SSM) of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) or Johannesburg Stock Exchange in June 2012 and begin construction of the Dayo Osholowu Medical Fitness and Wellness Center: a mixed use lifestyle medical mall concept in the city of Lagos Nigeria to open in June 2014. About Dr Adedayo Osholowu

Dr Dayo Osholowu is a Nigerian Physician, Surgeon & Entrepreneur. He has been recognized internationally by African Investor Magazine, TV Show Africa, Balancing Act, Video Age and Next Newspapers for his unusual skill, courage and vision as an Entrepreneur. He launched Africas first indigenous Pay-TV travel channel in partnership with Nigerian Pay TV Company HITV in April 2011, the channel currently has a valuation of $24 million dollars and is seeking a listing on the NYSE Euronext in 2012 as part of a Strategic venture partnership with Brussels based Liberty TV Travel Channel to launch the channel on Pay TV platforms across Africa. He has a full time career as a FIFA and IOC Certified Sports Physician and an M.Phil. Candidate in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Cape Town South Africa.
