Explanation:
From the time we needed provisions, food, drink, clothing, housing, boats, well-being
Allah had known of our needs.

Then He subjected for us that which is in the heavens and the earth in totality for our
betterment, for the purpose of out sustainment of life [i.e. existence]; so that we can seek
that which we were created forit is the worship of Allah.

)) : ((
His (author) statement: "yet he hasn't left us abandoned."

"al Haml" is something abandoned and deserted that is of no importance, Thus Allah
created us and provides us for a purpose (i.e. wisdom), He didn't create us for
amusement nor in vain, Allah says:
:
_
"Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that
you would not be brought back to Us?"

Allah merely created us and created for us these provisions and faculties for a
tremendous wisdom and magnificent purpose it is that we worship Him and He
didn't created us like the animals that were created for the servants' well-being;
afterwards they die and go away. Because they aren't held responsible nor were
commands or prohibitions placed upon them, merely Allah has created us to worship
Him, just as Allah says:

Me (Alone). I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves

And He didn't created us for the Dunya' only to live in it, to do as we please, eat and
drink, become rich in it, and there is not anything after is (the Dunya'). Merely the
existence is for cultivation and a marketplace for the Hereafter for us to take along with
us provisions made of righteous deeds, afterwards we will die and leave from here, after
that we will be brought forth; then be reckoned and recompensed for our deeds.
This is the purpose behind the creation of the Jinn and Man, and the evidence to that
are many verses indicating to the bringing forth, the resurrection, the recompense, and
the reckoning. The intellect indicates to this, for verily it is not befitting of Allah's
wisdom to create this astonishing creation, subjecting this universe for the offspring of
Adam afterwards he leaves them to die and vanish without a consequencethat is in
vain; therefore it is a must that results of these deeds will be made clear in the abode of
the hereafter.
Because of that from mankind are those who pass away in servitude of Allah and in His
obedience, in poverty and destitute , oppressed, pressured, and restricted and he wasn't
granted any reward for his actions in this Dunya', and the opposite are who were
disbelievers, apostates and atheist, wicked people doing as they please in this life; Living
in contentment given whatever he desires, committing unlawful acts set by Allah,
oppressing the servants of Allah having hatred towards them, consuming their wealth,
murdering them without any right; ruling overwhelming them and demonstrating their
power over themafterwards dying on that state, no punishment befell them.
Is it befitting of Allah's fairness and wisdom to leave this obedient person without a
reward, to leave the disbeliever without punishmentthis is not befitting of Allah's
fairness because of that Allah has made another abode to reward the Muhsin (the
good doer) with His beneficence and the Evil doer with his punishment; then the fruits
of their deeds will be clear there.

The statement of Shaykh Muhammad Ibn 'Abdil
Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him):

)) ((
"On the contrary He (Allah) has sent to us a
messenger."

Explanation:
It isn't permissible for us to take (worship) from our own approvals or by blind
following this person and that (known) person amongst the people. Allah has sent
messengers to us clarifying for us how we should worship Him. Because the acts of
worship are "Tauqifiyah" [i.e. it has boundaries and limits] it is impermissible that a
person worships by any method except by what Allah has legislated.
So the acts of worship are "Tauqifiyah" upon what was brought with the Messengers
upon them peace and salutationshence the wisdom behind the sending of the
messengers is so that they can make clear how to worship their Lord (i.e. Allah) and
prohibit the people from Shirk and Disbelieving in Allah .

This is the duty of the messengerspeace and salutations be upon thembecause of
this the Prophet said:

"Whoever performs a deed not from our affair [i.e. Islam] then it is rejected."

So worship is "Tauqifiyah" and innovation is rejected, superstition is rejected, blind
following is disregarded; you the modes of worship shouldn't be taken unless it is from
the legislation in which came with the Messenger.

us why we were created; making clear to us how we are to worship Allah , prohibiting

He said in this statement, that Allah had made within this surah the means for obtaining
wretchedness and the means for obtaining happiness. Therefore the means of obtaining
happiness is that the person ascribe (himself) with these four qualities: religious
knowledge, action, propagation of the religion [i.e. calling], and patience upon the harm
in the path of Allah .
So the evidence [i.e. Hujjah] has been established from Allah upon His creation by way
of this surah. It is though Allah said to the creation: "Verily I have made clear to you the
means of obtaining happiness within this short, concise surah."
All of the Qur'an and the Sunnah both elaborate on these four matters; however this
surah clarifies the means for obtaining happiness concisely. Hence establishing the
evidence over the creation and the remaining text from the Qur'an and the Sunnah
expound and illustrate these four matters.
The meaning of as-Shafee' statement isn't that this surah suffices Mankind, had Allah
not sent down other than that surah; however the surah establishes an evidence over
them, because Allah had made clear within the surah the means for obtaining happiness
and the means for obtaining wretchedness.
So no person will say on the last Day: "I wasn't aware of the means for obtaining
happiness and I didn't know the means for obtaining wretchedness, although he read this
short, concise surah.

The statement of Shaykh Muhammad Ibn 'Abdil

:
"Acting with it (i.e. knowledge)".
Explanation:
)) : ((
The author's statement: "acting with it."
Meaning, with religious knowledge, that is because, knowledge, it is not sufficient that a
man teaches and acquires knowledge; rather he must act upon his knowledge. Hence 'Ilm
[i.e. knowledge] without action it is merely an evidence against the person. So knowledge
doesn't become beneficial unless it is accompanied by action. As for whoever learns and
doesn't act upon that, then this incurs (Allah) anger upon himbecause he is aware of
the truth and abandons it upon clear sightedness. The Poet said:

"And a scholar with his knowledge who hasn't acted upon (it) is
chastised before the idol worshippers."

This is mentioned in the Noble Hadith:

"Indeed of the first to be burned in the hellfire on the Last Day is A'lim [i.e.
learned person/scholar] who didn't act upon his knowledge."
[At-Tirmidhi #2382 hadith of Abu Hurairah]

Knowledge is connected to action, and action is the fruit [i.e. results] of knowledge,
hence knowledge without action is similar to a tree without any fruit, there is no benefit
in it; and knowledge was merely revealed [i.e. sent down] for the purpose of
implementation.
Just like action without knowledge is grave and misguidance is upon the person, and
when the person acts without knowledge, then his actions become a burden and tiring
upon the person, the Prophet said:

"Whoever does an action that isn't from our affair [i.e. the religion of Islam]
then it is rejected."

And for this reason we recite in Surah Fatiha throughout every unit of prayer [i.e.

"Guide us to the Straight Way, The Way of those on whom You have bestowed
Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews),

Thus Allah has called those who act without knowledge misguided/astray, and those
who learn but don't act upon that knowledge Allah's wrath is upon themSo we
should be mindful of that, for indeed this matter is very important.
