Tips for memorizing the words Hi ..I am Mahavir Jain.

My name is registered in Limca Book of world Records for memorizing 80,000 Words from Oxford advanced Learners Dictionary The technique which I used I would like to share with You. First I will tell U that I sincerely want to help u. So I also expect that u should follow my instructions. Pick up a pencil and paper before you take my tips on memorizing the words. Dont read it perfunctorily. If you have not yet taken pencil and paper, I request you to take if you want to learn the powerful technique of memorizing the words. Now right down the answers of questions Question 1. With whom you went to Taj Mahal. Now. Second question. Where your scooter/car got punctured.or scene of any accident or petrol finished Please write some points succinctly Now third question.. Who was the villain in the movie Sholay Who was the actor in the famous movie Earthquake

Friends , if you are not writing the answers you are doing a mistake. Perhaps you have answered both the names of movie Sholay and Earhquake Now I am asking the words which appeared in GRE paper on 10 March 2007. Our student of MJ Academy at Delhi gave GRE he told me two words : Tenebrous, Kowtow, Write down the meaning of 1. Tenebrous 2. Kowtow Now encircle those questions / incidents which you have answered . Do it now. Now encircle those questions which you were unable to answer?

Lets understand what is memory and retention . This is Mahavir Jains definition of memory in a broader way The pictures which come ahead in front of your eyes and the sound which you hear when something is asked - is memory Have patience .I would like to bolster it with examples. Who was the villain in the movie Sholay Could you answer it ? Yes. Why ?

Are there some pictures / shots of Sholay in front of your eyes? And what about sound ? With whom you went to Taj Mahal ? Are you able to conjure up the pictures of the people with you ? YES. And What about this question: Who the the actor in the famous movie Earthquake What picture is coming in front of your eyes? What sound you are hearing in your brain ? If there is no pictures and soundsthis is not in your memory See on your paper which other questions you could not answer ? The reason I have belabored many times .you are unable to answer those questions which are bereft of pictures and sound So friends , I want to make you realize that the cardinal rule of memorization is visualization. Because when you retrieve a particular information , your brain ferrets out the picture and sound associated with it. Memorization always through Visualization

So for memorizing the words you need to form imagination/picture Now another cardinal rule is to link new word which you want to

memorize with a similar sound word. This link word will help you to form a picture/image For Example you need to memorize this word Extirpate The meaning of this word is To remove something unwanted Now form various logical sentence like: We need to extirpate our negativity I would like to extirpate my strong belief on superstition In this egalitarian country we need to extirpate the reservation Now Imagine for memory and retention: Before this make a link word which has similar sound . The link word is Extra pate (Hindi word means Belly, Stomach) Imagine this portly man is dancing and doing exercise to extirpate his extra pate or after some days he could extirpate his extra pate

Make a sketch immediately like this on the paper

Now another word we will memorize is Chortle Part of Speech : Noun ,Verb Meaning : to laugh with pleasure Sentences: 1. Everybody chortled on his gag 2. This evoked a chortle in the auditorium. 3. I chortled when he slithered on the floor. Now link word to connect the word Chorlte is Chor (thief) Imagine a Chor (thief) who is entering into your house through the window. You are watching his activities what he is doing in the house . He is packing frantically all expensive jewelry . I went in the kitchen , took oil in the cooker and strew on the stairs . While coming to your room he slipped from the stairs. When he slipped, this evoked a chortle

Friends if you do not Hindi word Chor ,then youcan Link this word Charlie Chaplin I chortle when Charlie Chaplin fell from stairs I chortle when pant of Charlie slipped suddenly

Kelvin chortled when chor (theif)slipped

Friends, if you are thinking so many words.. so many links it will flummox me.. it is impossible to link and imagine all. How this is possible ? Then my answer will be Your thinking is erroneous, and fear of confusion is unfounded . Thousands of GRE students are taking coaching at MJ Academy for memorizing Barrons. They are memorizing all the words without forgetting You please make a sketch of link and connecting picture, paste it on the wall. Revise once in a week. Then you will not forget the words. The picture of Extirpate and Chortle will retain in your brain for a longer period Now you memorize the word Surly by making an illustration

Part of speech : adj Meaning : Rude and bad tempered Sentences : 1. Yesterday he spoke in a surly manner 2. He is an affable man. He cannot speak in surly tone.

Now find out a link word There are two link words 1. Sir 2. Sir(head) Now make a rough sketch

Now some more words with the link method 1. Imbecile (n) Meaning A stupid person; moron; dolt ; nitwit Sentence :1 Laloos speech is admired by the imbeciles 2. He is an imbecile. Link/memory sentence : MBA KE BEES (20) Saal bad bhi Imbecile hai Or (if you do not know Hindi) He is prearing for MBA . He is not an Imbecile If possible, sketch it somewhere or imagine your friend who is preparing for MBA
