The coach then calls a number (e.g. Threes) from each team. The players whove been assigned that number must react to the call of the coach and proceed to run around the corner cones and then behind each goal and then into the practice area. The player that gets there first will automatically have possession of the ball and has to score in his opponents goal. Diagram C Players must now try to dribble past each other and shoot at the small goal to score a point for their team.
Once they have shot or the ball has gone out of play, they must return to the group and await further instruction from the coach.

Coachs Note
The coach can call different numbers from each team when starting off the drill to keep the players on their toes and ensure that they listen carefully to instructions. For further variation, the coach can call two numbers from each team and create a 2 versus 2 situation. Players must enter the field only after running around the cones and behind the goals as shown in Diagram B.
