What Are Growth Groups?

At First Hattiesburg, we believe that spiritual growth happens best through intentional relationships. In Growth Groups, people study the Bible together and discuss how it applies to our everyday lives. Its also where we build friendships by praying for and caring for each other. It would be virtually impossible for our sta, elders and deacons to personally minister to everyone who comes to our church. Thats why we have Growth Groupsso that our people can eectively minister to each other.

What Do the Growth Group Levels Mean?

Level 1
Level 1 Growth Groups are designed for those new to the Christian faith and for those long-time believers in Jesus Christ who feel they need to learn more about the basics of the Christian life. Level 1 Groups are also perfect for anyone who does not know where to start in their walk with God, but simply know they do need to start somewhere. If you are new to First Hattiesburg or just new to Growth Groups, a level 1 group might be exactly what you need.

Level 2
Level 2 Growth Groups continue to foster spiritual growth through more focused studies. Where Level 1 Groups help start our journey with Christ, Level 2 groups keep us going in the right direction. Level 2 groups are for everyone, but they are especially created for those ready to radically grow in their Christian faith. For any who feel like their faith needs a bigger push in the right direction, Level 2 Growth Groups challenge us to grow in our faith in Christ in new and exciting ways.

Level 3
Level 3 Growth Groups exist for more spiritual depth. Building on and going beyond Level 1 and 2 groups, our Level 3 groups seek to provide deeper knowledge of God, deeper love for God, deeper passion to serve God's people. Level 3s are great for those who want a more specic understanding of a theological topic, biblical book, or more practical issue related to living the Christian life.

Grace
Everyone / Level 3
Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. The Beechs home Leaders: Lawrence and Janet Beech: lawrencebeech49@yahoo.com Grace has become part of the basic vocabulary of every Christian. Unfortunately, many believers are abusing Gods amazing gift of grace. They have perverted Gods undeserved gift of forgiveness, making it a license for immorality, self-indulgence and minimal involvement in Gods kingdom. In the process they are robbing themselves of the joy that comes from obedience to God. In this study, well challenge each other to gain a biblical understanding of grace by examining what the New Testament says about it, and reveal how good grace can protect your marriage, church and relationships from confusion and even abuse. Start experiencing the true freedom of living obediently in Gods good grace.
