Training, Salvation, and Healings

Thank you all for your encouraging notes and phone calls during this season! I am currently in my final three weeks of training here at the International House of Prayer. It has been quite a journey as the Lord has taken what man intended for evil and used it for good. I have chosen to continue through the open doors here in Kansas City, MO pursuing a long time desire and goal of becoming a full-time When I moved to KC this past missionary for the Lord. program, I have been most challenged by the gifts of the Spirit. Paul instructs us to eagerly desire the gifts, especially the gift of prophecy (I Cor 14:1.). To believe in the gifts is not where the battle lies. The difficulty arises when we are confronted and convicted by the Word of God to exercise the gifts of the Spirit in our every day lives. This has so gripped me as of late. The Lord in His kindness has given me grace and strength to walk confidently in my identity as His imagebearer.

After shoulder surgery the doctor told me I would never regain full external rotation and mobility. I accepted the debilitating circumstances and continued life in this manner until June 7, 2009. During a healing service one of the leaders received a word of knowledge that there was someone in the room who had injured their left rotator cuff. I stood to receive prayer and began to break my agreement with the words that had been spoken over me - that I would never receive full mobility. Suddenly I realized that I had no pain when I turned my arm and I could FULLY externally rotate it!!

This concludes some highlights from my life during the month of November here at the training base. I hope you found the testimonies and updates encouraging. Just a side note- we are having our annual Onething conference December 28-31 in downtown Kansas City. We are expected to be host over 20,000 people from across the United States! Onething was birthed out of Psalm 27:4 - One thing I desire of the Lord, and that thing I will seek, is to be in the presence of the Lord all of my days. At this conference I will be ministering in the healing and prophetic rooms. The conference seeks to call young adults(as well as various ages) to a lifestyle of whole-heartedness as a forerunner of the message of Christ. Last year at Onething, Mike Bickle (director of IHOP) and Loren Cunningham (founder of YWAM) publicaly announced the partnership between YWAM (Youth With a Mission) and IHOP to launch 24/7 prayer with 24/7 justice. We have seen countless testimonies come forth since this convergence of missions and prayer launched last year. I pray you are all doing well, and hope to talk with you very soon!!
