Pastors Letter...
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth and I heard a great voice from the throne saying, Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more. (Rev. 21: 1f.)

January 2012

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ! Happy New Year! Isnt it wonderful to know that the God we worship in Jesus Christ makes all things new?! Everyone will grow older in 2012. Who knows what the future holds? Some within our family may get sick, be injured, or even die. But, we know that the future belongs to Christ. The good news is that in the New Heaven and New Earth of Christs Kingdom there will be no more tears and no more death! This is the assurance of Gods grace to all who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. My prayer for you this New Year is that you will live in the blessed assurance that Jesus is with you all the time. Therefore, you need not worry about those things which hold you back and hinder you. Rather keep your eyes on Christ and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. When we look over the past year at TTBC there are many things for which we can be grateful! 1. Thank God for the Childrens Ministry and the Adult Bible studies. Now men, women and youth are able to enjoy Bible classes where each is being trained to better know God and to better know how to live the new life we have in Christ. 2. Thank God for the Music Ministry of our church. What a joy to greet 700 people to our Choirs singing of The Messiah. The Christmas Eve and Christmas Sunday worship services were meaningful for our members and many overseas guests. 3. Thank God for the new members and baptisms this year. People are responding to the preaching of salvation through Christ alone. 4. Thank God for the Student and Young Professional ministry. The Bible Studies, the Retreats, the Friday Night Fellowships have been opportunities to share Gods Love and Word. Attendance has varied from 20 to 80 persons. We need to continue to support this vital ministry of the church! 5. Thank God for the unity in the Church. We are grateful to the harmonious workings of the Diaconate and the Church Council. Indeed we can sing with the Psalmist, How pleasant for brothers and sisters to dwell together in unity. 6. Thank God for the financial support of our members! We have already reached our pledge goal.in only three Sundays! For those who have not yet sent in their pledges, please do so as soon as possible! That is part of responsible church membership. 7. Thank God for You and Your prayers, encouragement and support! May God bless each of you in 2012! 8. These New Year greetings are for all, but we want to send a special word of encouragement to our shut-ins, to those who are sick, lonely, and are physically not able to join us. We remember you daily in our prayers. The Church prays for you and sends you greetings and special prayers. May the Christ of All Joy and Comfort be with you now and in the coming year! Finally, it is good to make resolutions during the New Year. Lets all resolve this year to bring

at least one new person into the membership of Tremont Temple. If each of you become a missionary and bring just one new person, we would double our membership. The God who makes all things new is also counting on you to tell the Good News! Janice and I want to thank all of you for your kind Christmas cards and greetings! God bless you in 2012. May the Peace of Christ be with you and your family! Please continue to pray for the growing outreach of our church for Gods glory! Yours In the Joy of Christ,

Dear Tremont Temple Family, The Messiah I would like to take this opportunity to say a great big THANK YOU to those of you who attended Tremont Temple for our recent performance of the Christmas portion of the Messiah, by George Frederick Handel, on December 11th, 2011. It was great ! The Choir and Orchestra prepared for almost four months for this years performance. If you missed the rendition of the Messiah at Tremont Temple Baptist Church, you missed a wonderful musical experience ! We had a thirty piece orchestra, a fifty member Choir and fantastic soloists: Soprano, Geralyn Mitchell; Mezzo, Clarissa Ocampo; Tenor, Fred Van Ness; and Bass, Robert Honeysucker ! All were amazing ! If you missed it, you can see the performance of the Handel Halleluiah Chorus on Youtube by clicking on : Tremont Temple Baptist Church Messiah 2011 .

Pastor Effies Corner. It is my privilege to lead the Adult Bible Class each Sunday morning on the 7th floor at 9:30am. We are studying the books of Numbers and Deuteronomy for the next two months. I invite all those of you who can come to make an extra effort to join us as we study, learn and grow together in becoming students of the Word and to discern Gods perfect will for our lives. Blessings,

I also want to say a very special THANK YOU to the Samuel Stillman Association of the American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts, for extending a generous grant which enabled and made this performance possible. God bless you,

Womens Round-table Report~ Missionary Letters

This will be Report # 5 from our Missionary Letters.. This months letters are from two of our LONG TIME Tremont Temple missionaries. We have long supported Childrens Haven while they were in Boston proper and now SUE COLE is ministering in Worcester and Douglas, MA. She holds weekly schedules of classes with primaries, teens and juniors. Her October letter tells of sixteen children who received Christ as Savior while at Camp Chilhaven. The Camp is where children can really concentrate on hearing Gods Word and on the Holy Spirits challenge to them to live a life for Christ. Please remember Sue and her associates as they touch our young peoples lives for Christ. The second capsule report is from Romine (Roe) and Dorothy Brooks who are also long time TTBC missionaries working under Campus Crusade. They have worked on many college campuses establishing support teams and eventually seeing some former students become missionaries. Although semi-retired, they are still active and seeing Gods blessings unfold as they remain faithful to His Word. Although not listed on our Church bulletin as regular support projects, many of you will recall the Philippine Ministry here at TTBC yearly asking for your help in sending clothing, food items and school supplies, etc. to the Grace Christian Mission. The GCM newsletter sends thanks to God for your help. Continue to remember ALL of our missionaries in your prayers and financial support. This is our pleasure and responsibility.

During next quarter, all of our classes will be studying the books of: Numbers and Deuteronomy: Life On The Edge. If you are looking to grow in Christ and experience a sense of fellowship with a great group of Christians, you are invited to join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am! Sunday school classes begin at 9:30AM and are held in the following locations: Adults - Friendship Hall (7th floor); Men - Study Room (1st floor); Young Adults - Quiet Room (5th floor); Youth - Youth Lounge (5th floor); and Children - Childrens Area (5th floor). Please contact us through the Church office or talk to the Director of Christian Education, Rev. Lucrecia Rodriguez, with any questions.
